Hello everybody!
I am still hanging in there on the downward side.
Taking my new trike to the cycle shop today for professional assembly and soon I will be pedaling around getting some much needed cardio exercise!
Also been in contact with professionals regarding working on relearning the smart eating habits.
So progress is happening!

I am losing weight but I haven't really gotten into or on a diet or nutrition goals regimen yet. It has been more stress related weight loss, illnesses ongoing and still adjusting to my new temporary dentures. But I'll take the loss as it comes.
I, on Friday, spoke to a dietary guide from a local medical group organization that assists seniors who have been recently hospitalized. Their goals are to keep seniors from returning to the hospital by aiding with outside needs that can keep the senior from relapsing.
So the nutritionist is sending me hard copy dietary aids for people like me, overweight and with type 2 diabetes. Also she is putting me in contact with counseling.
My doctor had also given me instructions on decreasing some of my insulin shots since my weight loss based on some side effects I had been having. So far the reduction seems to be helping / working! What a struggle, isn't it?!
Such is life.

The 356 weight I posted yesterday was actually what they had given me when I was in hospital last week. I weighed this morning and on my home digital scale I was 351.0.
Two things that have affected my weight of course was the trip to hospital and eating differently there but the major issue is that two weeks ago I had 10 upper teeth extracted over a 2 day period and new temporary dentures fitted that I can't eat any hard food with.
So between being less hungry because of the dental work trauma and then getting sepsis and a super UTI that put me in hospital for four days it hasn't been hard to drop some weight. That and even before all the teeth and health issues I had been trying to substitute at least one meal a day with an Ensure diabetic drink. That has helped with lowering my Blood Sugars.
Thanks to everyone who gave me high fives on my success! I do hope to keep the trend going. I do also hope to be able to eat some more solid foods at some point like al dente vegetables and some baked fish or ceviche.

Been such a terrible time to even think about weight loss efforts. My wife passed away at the start of January after a very long hospitalization for nearly succumbing to the effects of Chemo treatments for aggressive breast cancer she was diagnosed with late last spring. The chemo failed and while she was in hospital suffering from the cancer and the chemo treatments she became infected with COVID-19. She passed on January 4th and frankly it has just been totally hit and miss (mostly miss) with even thinking about weight loss or weight loss goals. I am hoping and praying the warming weather will help my attitude and help inspire more physical activity and I am planning to do some five gallon bucket gardening! Wish me luck!
That is my Sweetie in the pic below! Before it all went so wrong!

I am doing so poorly it is embarrassing. Of course I have reasons but I really don't have any excuses. Bugger!
