It's been a slow grind with the weight loss. I seem to be balancing out and just losing little bits here and there. I have upped my game in the past week or so. I signed up for Aqua fit classes at the community pool starting next week and I finally got my own gym membership. I was at the mercy of my friend taking me since September. We usually go twice a week but sometimes she would bow out. Now I have no excuses. I also started drinking the hibiscus tea again every day. I've added both flax seed and ginger to my daily diet. I've got some other tweaks to make so hoping that by the end of the week I can be down at least 1-2 lbs.

So my lowest weight in about a year. It's not too much but I will take it. I went on vacation at the beginning of May and was gone for a week. Being at a music festival for 3 days and driving all over town to see museums and such meant eating 2 meals out at restaurants, and festival food, for the majority of the time. I gained 4 lbs while I was gone. That was a bummer but also less than I expected it to be. It kept me from going over 230 again. I have now lost those 4 lbs and about 1 more pound as well. It's been a good month overall (even with the scale's gyrations) as I realized how much more automated my new habits are becoming and the older ones are dying away. Even being on vacation it was dialed in to eat 3 meals a day, and only having 1 snack happened on 2 of the days. I found that being in the car for 6 hours didn't bring on those cravings for snacks, or wanting to stop for road food, like it used to in the past. I really wasn't interested. On the way home I decided it was time to have a "never again" rule with movie popcorn. Not that we had a movie planned but I knew in my heart that this needed to happen because I have so much mental dialogue and anxiety every time I go to the movies. My hubs and I end up fighting about the popcorn and I usually (always) end up eating too much of it and in a way that is just mindless. So we get back home and our friend invites us to the movies! We go and it was no problem At All! I was in shock and felt in such control; I couldn't believe it to be honest. Last night we went to the movies again and no popcorn and none of that merry go round in my mind with thoughts about it before hand either. I'm getting better people. It really wows me! Now to get below 225.

It's Beltane also known as May Day. No matter what you call it the day proclaims "light a fire and dance around it, call in what you are needing most for the energy is ripe for manifesting." I am heading off to a week in LA and Redondo Beach. April was a bit of a struggle. After getting below 230 in March I inexplicably bounced back up to 231 in the first week of April. Then I was off to a 4 day seminar out of town. I managed to only gain 2 lbs while away, however I spent most of April trying to lose it. After re-examining my rules and my food plan I saw that it was time I reigned in my portions. After a little tweaking I dropped 5 lbs in the last 10 days of April. Today was my lowest weight in about a years time. I am relieved but also concerned because we are now going on vacation which means a lot of eating at restaurants. I am going into the month at the ready to get below 220 by June. Have a lovely Wednesday everyone and remember these words- "Everything I want is on the other side of what I don't want to do!" :-)

It's been 2 days in a row below 230 and that feels amazing. However, I've been sick for the past 5 days with some crud virus my husband brought back from his work trip 2 weeks ago. No workouts or walks for me which has made me feel even more miserable. However, I am still keep with the mind work-reading my rules, refutation, affirmations, writing my goals down, sticking to my food plan.
