Hi everyone!
I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I remember trying to diet as early as elementary school. By the time I graduated high school I weighed 200 pounds and I was so depressed. I began college and was determined to change my life. I had some success losing weight at that time but I dieted in a very unhealthy way. I would exercise for 2 or more hours a day and eat very few calories. As a result I lost 60 pounds and was down to 138 but I was also passing out and my family thought I had become hypoglycemic. I got married and gained weight as I began cooking large meals as a newlywed for my hubby. Shortly after, I became pregnant and on the day I delivered my child I weighed 240 pounds. I was 25 at the time. Motherhood has been such a blessing in my life but I could not manage to get the baby weight off. My light bulb moment was on the morning of my 30th birthday I stepped on the scale and I was again 240 pounds. My child had just started Kindergarten and I had ballooned up to the weight I was the day I was in labor. I decided enough was enough! I began a low carb/high protein diet and initially lost 50 in a 10 months. Then all of the sudden, it completely halted! I was doing everything right and the scale was NOT budging. I was at my wits end and decided to go see my doctor. This was the first time I sought medial care for my weight problem. My docs believe my pregnancy may have wreaked havoc on my endocrine system. My doctors have discovered I have Hypothroidism and PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome. I started treatment for these conditions 2 months ago and the weight is finally coming off! Fat secret has been such a fabulous tool to help me along my journey. Good luck to you all in your own journey!
