I am a 21 yr old female who has always been bigger (200+) since puberty. By every doctors test except body fat I have always been very healthy except for my PCOS and cervical cancer. I took upon myself to bust my own butt and lose as much weight as my body feels happy doing. I am in ok shape but I need a better relationship with food so I'm aiming for 2000 calroies broken down in to 6 small meals a day and walking my 4 miles everday until I can afford the p90x system. Hopefully by mid October I will be started on my pathway to p90x success and after three months of rigorus excercise it better be a habit for me to eat right and sweat everyday instead of letting myself quit. This isn't a diet, this isn't a fad, this is the body I will have for the next 70 years and I need to show it some respect.

Damage control any ideas on how to help my daughter?
hi,
Give her the biggest hug imaginable and tell her if she feels healthy that's what matters.
I had a teacher do the exact same thing when I was in middle school (I have been over 200 pounds since I was 12, I am also fairly tall but I'm a big girl none the less). It was absolutely traumatizing but my wonderful beautiful thin mother has told me my whole life that as long as I'm healthy that's all the matters. And I really honestly have believed her everytime she has said that my whole life.
Make it about health not weight/size.

7 NEW RULES for the Gym
The bake has a point!! I am not the healthiest looking person (working on it obviously or I wouldn't be on here) but I walk my 4 miles everyday so please do not come bouncing over in you itty bitty shorts with your perfect make up and teeny weeny waist line and tell me how I could look like you. I don't want to look like you I like me and I'm probably healthier inside than you are. I just need to get a better grip on my food intake and not eating ever is not any better than eating all the time.

how have you been treated?
Were you at a big girls club?
I am nowhere near thin (250+ at 6ft tall) But my lower half is a size 12 upper is a 24. I am also young (21)
Anyhoo I always have thick girls telling me I'm not big enough to be at bbw clubs or that I'm not big enough to call myself a big girl. But every "thin" woman has always had the right to tell me I am not thin either. People get touchy depending on the enviornment.
Don't let her get to you and enjoy the new you but remember old you was probably a knockout too. No one who judges you based solely on physical is worth your effort. A lot of what's attractive about people is their personality.
