Hi All!
I got an unexpected call early this morning and it's necessary for me to fly home to be with family. I'll be taking a flight to OH tomorrow. Won't go into details, but I wish this were due to happier circumstances.
It's been a loooong and hectic day of getting business in order, last minute preparations, and everything else associated with one of those unexpected phone calls. Gonna miss you guys. Not sure when I'll be back, but didn't want to leave without letting you know at least a little of what's going on. I'd sure appreciate your positive thoughts & energy sent our way for my family. Thank you so much!
Thanks, too, for all your encouragement & support! I wish you all well and continued success!
Take care!
Dee

This is a workday for my husband (thank goodness he's getting off work early, tho)! Our sons and I celebrated his Special day with him before he had to leave. He's a fantastic & loving dad and we never miss an opportunity to tell him so!
I've been looking at all the beautiful posts & Journals about how special our dads are and how Blessed we are for their constant and unconditional Love...and I just HAD to Journal today!!!
I LOVE my dad with all my heart! My dad is my FIRST love! :-) Though my husband comes 'close' and is an awesome husband & father (very much like my dad)...no one can hold a candle to my dad!!! There's Nothing like being a Daddy's Girl (I wear that badge with honor & pride) :-) Everything I know about what a good man is, is because of my own dad's example. Like many of you, there's just not enough words to describe how much our dads mean to us nor how grateful we are to them for helping to shape the foundation of our lives.
Some of us have dads who have already transitioned to Glory, which makes this day extremely difficult. I haven't yet accepted this as a fact....just not able to. But it's okay.
I'm just wanting to encourage you to continue to treasure EVERY waking moment with the time and joy you have in your daddy's arms. It's a comfort place like no other and can Never be replaced!
I'm not looking for comments on this Journal. In fact, I'm gonna ask that you not. This is the first time I've been able to write Anything about my precious dad. I can't even let family talk to me about things right now. Today, I just needed to say Something about this Amazing man, then put things out of my mind again.
I came on FS for a bit to try to (perhaps selfishly) make myself feel better by encouraging and laughing with others! You know I luv you guys to pieces! It's just so good to be able to share a line or two about the Best man I've ever known...my Dad!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all you Wonderful Dads...and Especially to my own!!!

I recorded this on a Challenge Board, but it was such a Scream, I want to Journal it...so I won't forget the day it happened (if that's even possible).
I went for something different today. Since I was already 'moist' from water aerobics, I came home and strapped on my foam leg weight attachments to do a water workout in my pool (Abs & lower body only). My instructor already concentrates too much on the arms. I used moves that I got from Prevention.com, only today was with weights.
I hadn't used the foam leg weights this year at all~~~and the last time I'd used them, I strapped-on and worked one leg weight at a time. They're really deceiving (light as a feather OUT of the water...nice & weighty IN the water). I thought~~~Okay, I've been working out...I'm gonna go for it and use both at the same time.
After getting in the water, I strapped them on while sitting on the pool ledge...then I jumped in.
I went straight upside down!
LMAO!!!
My husband came running outside 'cause he said he heard a whole lotta splashing going on. It was Hilarious!!!
I am sooo happy there wasn't a video camera around...I can only imagine what I looked like trying to regain my footing. I don't know what worked my Abs more today...the actual workout or me laughing at myself! Come to think of it, I coulda made a lot of money on America's Funniest Home Videos. That was a missed opportunity, for sure! lol
Anyway...after I collected myself, it ended up being a Great workout. Seems that I got that extra arm workout after all.... Geeeze!
