7/26/23 Well I graduated from physical therapy for my shoulder this morning. I made all the required and above ranges for my shoulder though they have been good from the start. Still having trouble reaching behind my back but they say it will come in time. I just want my neck to quit hurting. FYI, why I went to the doctor in the first place. I am hoping that this thorn goes away as Paul in the Bible says about his thorn. My shoulder is better than before or stronger. It has pushed me in exercising my arms and they look toned not just fat and saggy. I am a work in progress. That is all I have for today. Time to get out and walk before it gets to hot out. Gonna have a great day so let's go do it!

So yesterday I watched what I ate. I rough did about my set calorie range. I stepped on the scale this morning and was surprised to see 147! Of course it is water weight I lost, but it made me feel better. I have to admit that gaining weight back wasn't from the surgery. It was for my not sticking with what I should have been eating. The exercising after the surgery did make the pain worse so I stopped. I was still recovering I made it my excuse. Trying to be honest with myself. But when I got the clear and started physical therapy for the shoulder I should have started back walking. That was the beginning of June. And now it is going to be August. Ok so now I am getting back on track.Had my rest and healing time. The biggest part of this journey is knowing not to make any rest, refresh and healing time an excuse to quit. It is your body telling you you need a timeout. To refresh the body so you can keep going. Have you ever tried not to sleep? Well we all know that our bodies will eventually slow down and even stop when we don't get enough sleep. Same way with our bodies when we over extend trying to push it to hard. Learn to recognize what your body is telling you. It will benefit on how to approach your getting healthy journey.

I am bouncing back and forth on weight. I had my shoulder rotator cuff repair done in May. Now it has gotten so hot out. I know just excuses. But the heat gets to me and just saps the energy right out of me. I told hubby time to get back to the gym and back to the swing of things. I noticed the junk food eating has picked up. Not good since it has only been not quite a year from his heart attack. Focus, focus, focus. Had my 2 month break for recovery back at it!Picture of me on left before surgery in May. Picture of me about two years before my journey. Side by side pics do make a difference.
