My calf injury is getting better. I'm walking without a limp. I can play pickleball, but it may be a couple of weeks before I can play beach volleyball. I have lots of strenght work to do.

Tracking calories works. Adjusting your calorie level as your activity level changes is necessary. There is certainly some guess work involved in figuring out calories burned, but a reasonable guess is better than doing nothing. I am also often estimating some of my meals. But, I've learned that no tracking causes the scale to steadily rise.

I caught a repetitive stress calf injury. With an anticipated 4 to 6 weeks (maybe more due to age) for rehabilitation before I can play and practice my sports. The reduced activity means that I must cut my calorie target from 2200 to about 1800, maybe less. Setbacks suck.
