This afternoon I did:
Kaleigh Cohen Strength - 40-minute Upper Body PUSH Strength Training
Followed by her:
Upper Body Post-Workout Stretch
Better late than never I guess. No workout over the weekend, but did some walking on Sunday. Calorie counting has flown out the window this week with cheesy pasta dishes with garlic bread on the menu creeping in to the week days. I try to keep such things to weekends so I can try to reduce calories and eat much healthier during the week, but I'm starting to think hubby prefers the old chubby me of years ago and I'm not sure how to reign it all back in and get him to co-operate. He brought home Belgian milk chocolate chunk and salted caramel cookies yesterday and I just can't say no.
But, I'll try to keep my goals in focus and come back to them at some point. This month I'm getting ready to apply for my Spouse Visa Extension so I can live in the UK for another 2.5 years before I then apply for citizenship (fingers crossed). I'm finding it rather stressful and trying to take it one step and one requirement at a time because there are many and varied hoops to jump through. That, with some work stress thrown in, means I'm just grateful to still be getting a full night's rest because a few months ago, I think due to HRT, I would not have been coping as well. Hoping to continue with this slightly clearer mind and onward.
This is mostly, as usual, for my own records, but I hope anyone reading has a good week! xxx

This morning I did:
Kaleigh Cohen Strength - 40-minute Upper Body PULL Strength Training
Followed by her:
Upper Body Post-Workout Stretch
Really good workout with 5kg weights. I didn't really have to modify anything, but did go down to 2.5kg for the chest flyes.
Looking forward to trying the corresponding PUSH workout at some point too.
So, this is only my second strength workout for this week and last week I only managed two as well. Not sure if I'll be able to fit another one in because there's quite alot going on right now, so in my mind 2 is better than none.
Hope you all have a Thriving Thursday! xxx

This morning I did:
30 MIN Upper Body METCON Workout / HR12WEEK EXPRESS : Day 21
Nice to not have to do a different stretch before or after. Didn't manage a workout over the weekend, but my overall step count for last week was just over 50k so that's fine with me.
Hope you all have a good week! xxx

Not managed a workout yet today, so will see how the day progresses. I will fit in an extra walk besides the one to work this afternoon.
We've booked to see some live jazz tomorrow evening at our local Museum (to celebrate our anniversary 10 days ago) so I'm really looking forward to that. Decided to go out for brunch rather than dinner so we'll do two separate walks tomorrow as well. And then Sunday might be brighter weather as well so a walk in the park will be on the cards as well.
I'm not to bothered by the minor loss. I haven't stuck to IF again this week and calories have been slightly high. So, next week will be better!
Hope you're all doing well! Have a great weekend! xxx

This morning I did:
Caroline Girvan - 5 Min Full Body Warm Up with Caroline Girvan
Followed by her:
IRON Series 30 Min Superset Arms, Abs and Core Workout | 20
And then, because the cool-down stretches were too short for my liking, I did:
Daniela Suarez - 7 MIN STRETCHING EXERCISES AFTER WORKOUT (New) | FULL BODY COOL DOWN FOR RELAXATION & FLEXIBILITY
I mostly used my 5kg weights, but alternated on just a few of the moves. Found the push-ups and planks quite harsh so did some on knees and used a resistance band for help as well.
Something interesting I watched yesterday gave me lots of food for thought:
RESPIRE - Neuroscientist: "This Simple Skill Will Keep You Motivated" | Andrew Huberman
So I was trying to enjoy the workout focusing on the effort itself, rather than an end reward. I never do usually anyway. But, during the workout I knew I would really enjoy the hot shower afterwards too. Maybe the shower is part of the 'work/effort' process though - and not the reward at the end. If I didn't put the work in I'd just have a normal shower instead of a really satisfying one where I feel like I started my day off the right way. And I think some of my reward would be when I look at myself in the mirror again and see a difference with my muffin-top or bat-wings.
Anyhoo, then we've had some good weather today so went for an hour long walk in the park with hubby. I'll walk to work this evening too and for the rest of the week as well.
So, the plan is to do another workout on Friday morning, and perhaps this time a full-body one.
Happy Wednesday all! Two months to Christmas. xxx
