Being a diabetic, I decided to try full blown vegan as of July 22nd. Was fully vegan for over three months. 100% committed as my kids and wife are vegan so the transition was easy. Unfortunately, had to revert to animal protein because my A1C was just not any where near where it should be. I am very data driven and had zero issues with sticking to a vegan lifestyle which included eating the highest amounts of plant based proteins, nuts, grains and legumes etc.

After only three days of high protein low carb, my morning numbers are finally coming down. It's a bummer that I had to go back to animal protein but I am thankful to God, that my numbers are stabilizing.

After 8 mos. Of being stable I will try to ease back into the vegan life. Has anyone else had these issues while trying to go vegan while also being a diabetic?
