a week ago I was perfectly fine one minute and on the way to the hospital passing out from pain 20 minutes later. Emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction (intestine had attached to a 14 year old c-section scar and wrapped around an ovary twice). Lost 18" of small intestine, 1 week in the hospital, but no long term restrictions.
Honestly not sure if I could have survived had I still weighed 200. Being in the best shape of my life not only made this possible for me to survive, but recovery has been ahead of schedule. It was hard for my caretakers to move me around those first few days at 130#, can't even imagine what it would have been like for them had I still been obese.
Thankful!

I started this clean eating/exercise program for one reason: my health. I just had my blood work done and am overjoyed with the results. No Rx's just a lifestyle change. Total Cholesterol went from 219 down to 145, Triglycerides went from 268 to 68 (a 200 point drop!!!) and my HDL was low at 38 and is now great at 54. I feel so much healthier and happier. My doctor was so happy she hugged me! All the hard work is paying off :)
