EASTER!!!

I feel like I let loose ALL my sins as soon as Lent was over and the Easter Weekend begun. The Easter Bunny did visit our home to tell us the news of Easter and drop off a basket of Lovely Chocolate Easter Eggs as He/She does this time of year. So since there happened to be some Chocolate eggs just hangs around for the children.... Me being a good Mother and Aunty (and Certified Sugar Addict) I did check a quite few for quality control purposes...just to be sure. LOL!!!
There were glasses of Amarula consumed, as was a yummy roast chicken, potatoes and vegetables and other foods I usually stay away from but it was the long Holiday so I relaxed a little bit (ok more that a little bit).
What brought it on you ask? I saw the Easter weekend as a great time to celebrate life with the family instead of eating a separate meal. I just did what made me happy. Yes... I knew what I was doing while I was doing it but I just felt like a child home from boarding school. I needed a break from Allllllll these strict and measured diets and the exercise.
So even though I lost only but a few grams this week, I will have to put in the work needed because I know unless I workout like crazy and eat right these coming weeks, I will be paying for those Chocolate eggs and Amarula for the few next weeks. The sins of the Holidays last a long time!

Hi,

It has been a while since I posted a Journal Entry so here goes....
I am back working out again early in the mornings. I got a new job where I have to travel out of town and sometimes keeping to my diet plan is really tough. I found a solution to it quick so I am fine now, because the travelling working away from home and the new job had me settling in a bit on a plateau weight wise. I am happy with the progress, it is slow but sure.
My sugar cravings are back.... the saga continues. I am eating mangoes and sweet melons to cut the cravings but it is all in the head so I know I have to deal with it. I have stayed away from chocolate this long I have to keep at it longer.
The Total weight loss since I started last year in February is 41.1 Kilos I am proud of myself for continuing to eat right and fighting off the cravings.
The Seizures have not been back I Thank God!!! Also my blood pressure is back to normal 120/80 which is what I was aiming at.
I know still have a LONG way to go to my target weight but I will dance now at the small victories on the way to my larger Victory later.
