Hi my name is Kerry, I am 48 and I am just getting started. I have a passel of fabulous grandchildren, 3 great adult kids, two wonderful brothers a pretty cool sister-in-law, and an outrageous nephew. I love to sew, crochet and knit with my knifty knitter. My goal and mission is to be slim before I turn 50. SO here I go.....

this is not rocket science
If you are a relatively healthy person with ONLY 20 pounds to lose I agree it is very easy to do so........... BUT if you are over weight due to a severe illness such as of lets say chronic asthma or COPD or any other number of illnesses which cause activity to be very difficult or the medications tend to contribute to heaviness. IT ISN'T SO EASY. I was 5' tall and 125lbs 24 years ago, I had a serious attack due to asthma was put on Prednisone is extremely high doses,(80-100mg daily) on and off for years. In that time I went from 125lbs to almost 300lbs. I have been off the Prednisone (for the most part since 2003) I have gotten down to 272lbs but am having trouble losing more. I am considering the gastric sleeve but my insurance requires at least 6 months on the TRIM program offered thru the Spectrum Health Medical Weight Loss Program before they will cover it. So please keep all your bashing, and all your "all you need to do is" crap. I've done all that, but when there is chronic lung disease and you cant breath when you do the heart rate increasing exercises it is NOT so easy.
