This May has been my 5th year of using fatsecret, while taking periodic breaks from the community part, I’ve been pretty consistent with the food logging section. During these past 5 years there has been a ton of trial and error, lots of failures and plenty of success (I’ve lost 125 lbs in total). I’ve learned being consistent is key, especially on weeks where you don’t lose or even gain, stick with it you’ll get back on track. I’ve also learned that planning what I eat weekly goes a long way over just tracking, this doesn’t happen all the time because of life, but i have an idea more often than not. They say 95% of diets fail within 5 years and I’m here to say don’t listen to that!!! Make the way you eat a part of a healthy lifestyle, stay consistent and you will have success. Also get involved in the fatsecret community, ask questions, there are a lot of great people on here (even met a few of you!) who love to help and who have helped me over the past 5 years! Never give up, you can do it!
