Getting closer to the 200s! less than 8lbs to go!

Now a lot of things have happened since my last post. Were going to go in chronological order.

Had a great workout on Thursday. We swapped out the trap bar dead-lifts for cable hip hinges, since I'm pretty sure the dead-lifts were straining my back and causing extra nerve pain and me to use an ice pack on my back for several days afterwards. It was a good workout and surprisingly I had minimal muscle soreness, but I also had protien intake up over a 100 grams which is hard for me to get in now and I really had to push myself.

I did new body measurements on the 14th. Had some nice losses all the way around so I'm pretty happy about that.

Yesterday I met a friend at the mall for some shopping and lunch which was lovely. She has lost about 80lbs since January. She eased into fitness over several months then took up running 6miles a day 5-6x a week. She's seriously an all-star.

Now the bad news. I was in a car accident after leaving the mall. I'm mostly fine, but at this point I won't be doing anything at the gym. I was rear ended by a guy who wasn't paying attention. He hit me hard enough to deploy his airbags, crumple the whole front of his car and smash his windshield. the whole back of my car dented, bumper came off and the headrests in my car went off too. My driver seat is now sitting cattywampus and the steering wheel now shimmies up and down when the car is driven. So it's likely I'll be getting a new vehicle. Only had 8 payments left on it too. -_- But the other driver and I both walked away from the collision so that is the silver lining. I did go to emergency room and they did a catscan on me. Back left side of my head was achy, massive headache, severe nausea, left shoulder was sore and the disk in my back was throwing a lot of nerve pain down my left leg. Today I'm sore but its not as bad as I thought it would be and I'm mildly head-achy. I'll be taking it easy this week and letting myself heal, going to visit my chiropractor, and dealing with the adjusters in addition to all the other appointments I have this week.

I hope everyone's weekend has been better than mine.

An awesome scale weekend. Spent Saturday at the movies and a birthday for a 6yr old.

Sunday, I ended up playing another round of "What fits out of my closet now". So a friend of mine who has back issues sent me a steel boned corset that she could no longer use awhile back. I had been avoiding trying it on thinking it wouldn't fit right or would have to have extra lacing on it. But lo and behold, it fit. And there was about 3ft of extra lacing. O.O With only an inch spacing where it laced up. I was stoked. Then I decided to see if some of the dresses I had in my closet would fit. I got into 2 little black dresses. One of them was a 2x and the other was a size 16. The size 16 dress, I had bought in January as a goal dress. And it fit and zipped up and everything. ^_^ So it was an awesome boost!

After my dress up party it was gym time, and I did almost everything my trainer had set for me to do. Minus some lat stretches that made my shoulder feel like it was trying to pop out of socket. I've been having some issues with it no sitting in the socket right and had to have the chiropractor adjust it back to where it was suppose to be over a week a go. So I didn't want to risk it.

Anywho, my thighs and glutes are sore today. And I go in for an upper body workout tomorrow. -_- Seriously a love/hate relationship with the gym. I complain, but I'm all antsy if I go too long without a workout now.

Moving on down! Was not expecting more of a loss this week honestly. I waiting for my weight to stall out again. -_- Been happening a lot the last month or so.

I think strained my back/tailbone at the gym yesterday or compressed the area around the herniated disk I have in my lower back. Money is also on that it was the dead lifts that did it. But I have a chiropractic appointment this afternoon that I'm hoping helps. Also worked through several stretches to try and ease so of the discomfort. Days like today is when I wish I could still take ibuprofen. So making do with Tylenol and ice packs. Hot shower is also on the schedule for after dinner.

Dinner tonight will be Pork tenderloin, pink eye peas with rice, and a toss up between tomatoes and cucumbers or green beans. I won't be tracking it in the app, but as always, I'm mindful, and I can't eat much anymore. I'll be prioritizing protein, and have only a little rice.

I also got a 1 mile walk in this morning in my neighborhood. I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep and the temp outside felt pretty mild with a bit of breeze, so a nice walk right after it got light enough was nice. Saw some lovely plants, a couple squirrels, a few neighbors out walking as well. All in all it was good. In hindsight, it might be what set my back to hurting worse. -_- So definitely going to take it easy the rest of the day.
