A swim, a walk and a row. Row #50. Supposed to go out for dinner tonight, will try and row before so I’m not reaching over a full stomach. Swim was just good, always good because it clears my brain most of the time. Stopped to rescue a couple of bees, but that happens when it’s hot. 863 strokes, 9.4 METs, average heart rate 143. I never recovered my rhythm after stopping for the first bee and spent the entire rest of the swim in zone 4. No biggie, just making notes.

Medium walk, saw a friend, stopped to chat. Life is good. Row was 10 minutes and ended up being relatively easy - even with a couple 2 minute all-out’s - that’s definitely progress as far as getting better at stuff. Will look back at the beginning of the rowing challenge when I’m done. Should be interesting. I can tell it’s helping with swims.

Busy Monday, press on, press on. Seems to be the theme lately. We’ll get through it. Always do.

Cool, overcast Sunday morning. I’ve already ditzed away almost an hour, but I did remember to put on my sunscreen this morning, unlike yesterday. Managed to row, swim and walk yesterday. All at a nice pace, so not an exhausting day. Row #49, ten minutes, hard push.

Swim two restarts and finally 881 strokes, 10.5METs, average heart rate of 145. Spent almost the whole time in cardio because I’d already done some ten minutes before starting the clock. All good, it didn’t feel that hard. Walk was medium distance, we started off towards the Walkabout event to people watch, but then they were being stupid trying to find parking and I just wasn’t feeling it. Too tired from swimming to deal, so went home and zoned. Noting the row today because while it was only ten minutes, I logged a 66 calorie burn and 6.4METs in 10 minutes. That was a harder push than most, no wonder I was breathing hard. Average heart rate there was 123, which is because of long pushes and easy rests in between.

My lifeguards were more concerned than normal yesterday. Random pics from our walk. Just a beautiful, pleasant San Diego evening in South Park as long as we stayed away from the cars trying to find parking.
