Well good news in a way. I am up .8lb which is better than the over 2lb loss in one week. Slow and steady has worked for me over the last almost 2 years. Today I have a friend coming to binge watch a show. We are having cheese, crackers and wine. For dinner I am making shrimp with pesto pasta and roasted asparagus washed down with more wine, followed by individual PC Key Lime individual pies - I am not a baker... Treat days are a must!

It's been a week since my last weigh in. I have lost 2.4lbs. I am surprised and a little concerned with such rapid loss in 1 week. I added up my daily calories over the last 7 days and got an average, which was 1800. So I definitely have not been starving myself. My daily diet is balanced with about 50% carbs and 50% protein and fat making up the rest, with at least 24% protein. This is what works for me. Given that I am at practically the end of my weight loss, I can't explain such a huge weekly loss. I track my exercise with a Fitbit, which I use really as a pedometer and get a minimum of 12,000 steps each day. I have recently added 3 strength training sessions per week, this being the third week. I am going to aim for roughly 1800 calories per day for the next week and see how it goes. I have also decided to reset my goal weight to 145lbs from 150lbs and see how that goes. I will say that I do stay well hydrated and do not use "popcorn" as a "gut filler" to stay full.

Slow and steady, 3lbs to goal of 150lbs which was set arbitrarily a long time ago. I calculated my BMI this morning which at 5ft5" and 153lbs classifies me in the "overweight" category. But BMI is just one tool, so I have decided that once I reach 150 I will re-examine my goal. Am I at my set point? I don't know. If I maintain on average eating between 1700-1800 calories a day and continue to slowly lose weight then I have not reached a set point yet. This part of my weight loss journey is proving to be tricky!

Prior entry was wrong. I tried to reset my start weight to the actual of April 2021 which was 237.2 but FS shows it as 2011 which is not accurate. Anyway it has been a long road since 2021 but the end is getting near. A long journey with a lot of ups and downs, but mostly downs.
