Carb-Hangover
I did not sleep well last night. Woke up and felt awful Looking into the mirror this morning did not help at all, totally puffed up and I did not know why.
It hit me later in the day - carb-hangover!!! I noticed it before whenever the carbs were elevated too much the next day I woke up feeling lousy and often with a headache. I guess I did not have time for a headache this weekend, being in a carb spiral.
Well, I pulled the emergency brake. Low carb today and lots of water. Hopefully the puffiness goes away and I will feel better.

Negative and Positive Stress
Has anyone heard of it? I came up with it the other day, not sure if it really exists.
I was in the situation that I had a lot of stress at work, a lot to do in a short amount of time, overtime was in order. Not a problem, I felt stressed but also enjoyed it.
Now the situation has changed. I have a new boss, very high expectations that are not communicated. Negative stress - no fun in doing the work, just pressure.
Friday really topped it. As a result I went out and bought two!!! slices of pizza and two!!! donuts. I can't say it made me feel better but it was like venting.
With this stress level I am having a hard time to get going. For months now I want to go swimming, even considered yoga (for mind AND body) and I know it helps but when I am done with my job I am soooo done for the day. So, the Y is still waiting for me (and I am paying for nothing).
Yesterday I went shopping. I did not need much but should have bought some greens. I eat veggies every day, usually avocado, peppers and tomato. So some salad greens would not have been bad. But lately they just sit in my fridge and go bad. No energy to wash some and take it along. And it would be such a good filler!
Oh well, I just needed to vent, maybe it helps to go forward again, tracking food, preparing .... and feeling better.

Good intention but failed!🤔
I intended to record everything I eat in order to keep up with my food consumption and within my limits. Well, I failed. Too much distraction, still jet-lagged, excuses, excuses, excuses. Off to a new round.
I looked at a few recipes today and ran int this grilled cheese. Quick fix but oh, when I added the recipe to my cook book it turned out to be a calorie bomb. Hopefully it will last for most of the day :-)

Good MOnday morning,
Even though there was no obvious change in how my clothes fit I am quite surprised! Christmas in Germany was all but low carb. Back to LCHF :-)

I'm not so sure what is happening here. I did not record everything but that does not mean I did not plan my meals or stick to it. Basically I eat everyday the same with some change in the protein for lunch. And the clothes tell me different. I don't exercise (yet) but move way more. At this point I don't expect much loss since my stress level is pretty high and I don't get enough sleep. I hope that changes after the audit at work.
