I jumped off the wagon yesterday and got clear of the ruts. Fully expected a rise in weight, but lo and behold, I'm 0.5 kg lower today. Was out for the day, so ate at a restaurant and have not yet figured out how to eat at a restaurant, but since I split a meal with my ancient father, I guess I could claim to have at least one restaurant strategy. It was a long hard day, so I came home and consciously chose to jump off the wagon and have a generous shot of scotch. Then neighbours came over, so I had a small one to be sociable. Thank goodness for vegetables and 0% yogurt dip. I saved the day with a scant evening meal of same and came out 0.5 kg lighter than yesterday. Oh and waist size is down from Monday too. Things are looking rosy. Back on the wagon today with joy.

Aha. My weight on Monday before I started recording was 88kg -- a reflecteion of bloating and several months of late night snacking and pre dinner drinks and wine at supper. I was bloated and uncomfortable. Did not want that recorded. So I waited until Tuesday and spent Monday making changes to my behaviour. Must dropped a lot of water, because I weighed in @ 87 kg. Now that I am losing weight at 0.1 and 0.2 kg per day, I want to see the total change since Monday. It's all ego, but that's ok. If I keep my ego focused on the choices it makes for my body, I should achieve my overall goal of 72kg and a healthy, fit body in less than 139 days. Looking at a calendar, that means by June 6th and should be working on a program to maintain the renewed me.

Looks like I'm down a legitmate 0.1 kg this morning. I'm starting to trust the readings on my WiiFit Scale now, as it is reflecting change within an established routine. Getting back to the routine was difficult, but I'm back to it and very optimistic it will deliver the result I'm seeking.

OK. I think I've found the right wagon. It's headed for 72 kg, but it's a long slow route. That's fine with me. Yesterday, I did not consume all the calories recommend by FatSecret and will continue at this aggressive pace for about 2 weeks to a month. I know that in order to lose the approximately 40 pounds I want to loose, I need some rapid success to encourage my fortitude. Once its got a solid hold, I will slow down the pace and learn to consume in a realistic and holistic "weigh". thanks to FatSecret, I can keep close track of my behaviour and am already seeing a change.

Weigh ins are a little skewed at the moment. This one looks better than it probably is, because yesterday looked worse than it probably was. Just getting back to morning weigh in and exercise regimen. Clothes, time of day, etc. Will start to see a definite pattern in a day or two. Once I see a reliable pattern, I will only record my weight one or two times a week. Right now, just getting up in the morning and being conscious and conscientious about routine is the priority.
