I don't "diet". I eat real food and focus on lean protein (~1g/lean body weight). I eat grass-fed/organic meat, wild-caught fish, seafood, pasture-raised eggs, plain greek yogurt, some GF whole grains, organic fruit and veggies. I hydrate with Na, Mg and K, lift weights x3/wk, daily walk/ruck, run x2-3/wk, yoga x3/week, daily sunlight, and get plenty of sleep/rest. Limit refined carbs/sugar and avoid all seed oils. This has been my path to success!
