I've been on and off with eating properly since coming of of my cleanse. I have gotten a friend to help me structure my exercise porgram so I am going to spend at least the next week dilligently tracking my food intake so that at the end of the week we can access my what nutritional needs I'm not meeting if any. The stretching I am doing in the moring is from a book I got about nutrition for kids since I have a 5 3/4 year old who I want to have a base of healthy exercise and eating habits. The book is called Slim & Fit Kids. The food they recomend so far seems to follow proper food combining. The book is written by the author of the Beverly Hills diet but I won't hold that against them. The author of the exercises in the back explains how children have bodies that are still learning on a cellular level and when they are young is the best time to train their bodies to be limber and flexable, to imprint a cellular memory of that flexability.

All three of us are doing it together and it's fun!

So the whole hormone thing has continued to be an issue but even still I have had pretty good self control. I got a bag of dove chocolates to appease my craving and just one hit the spot perfectly. I'm not a big candy eater so having small portion candy around isn't a problem for me. Now, if we were talking icecream the story would be different.

Yestersday I walked to a library and then on to a friends house which was more than an hour walk. That night I caved and had some gouda cheese and a few crackers(totally improper food combining). Night time still seems to be the hardest part of the day for me to resist temptation and really I think it's just a left over habit from when I was working the late shift and not getting home until 10pm.

I'm trying to decide when to end the cleanse. I knew there would be weight loss but what I was really trying to do was get myself to a place where I was feeling good enough to be able to stick to the proper food combing. I think I have regained my desire to feed my body the way I know best to.

I have this mantra that I created for myself:

My body is a temple
I worship it by eating and drinking
Only that which is beneficial

When thinking of eating something not good for me I try to think whether it's worth it or not. Is the bad thing really so good that it's worth not following the mantra. This thought has actually helped me say no to a LOT of crap.

If anyone reads this journal I encourage them to try it.

Well I was planning on starting my cleanse on Monday and I did for the majority of the day. My husband got a free meal at Red Robin for his birthday and he's never gone without me so the whole family went on Tuesday. Wednesday he decided that he was going to cleanse with me so we decided to eat all the little bad for you things hanging around.

Thursday we started!

We are doing the modified version on the cleanse where we have a salad at some point in the day. We've also been having a cup or two of air popped popcorn with nothing on it. Sort of trying to ease into it since we aren't in an emotionally happy place being stuck where we are.

I felt great today! I walked to the store and back (had to get food for our son). I did buy some celery because it's the ony minus calorie food plus the fact that it's a good intestinal cleanser. I'm feeling more positive about my fitness goals and adding different exercises.

I'm so very proud of the fact that my Mom cooked the new two layer 5 meat pizza and all I did was take a big sniff of it and then walked away. That was really hard and one of the main reasons that I wanted to do this cleanse. I am surrounded by bad food combining and unhealthy food everyday here and it's really hard to resist. I'm really looking forward to sticking to my proper food combining when we come off the cleanse.

You loose a lot of weight on the cleanse but you gain back half of whatever you loose which is ok, but just the fact that I don't feel as large and that my clothes are starting to fit better is motivation to keep it going especially after we start back on food again. Another reason I wanted to do the modified version is that I really want to start getting regular exercise and you really do need to have a at least a little food. I've lost 5 pounds so far which is Awesome!

I'm looking forward to making farther than I have in the past.
