When I started, it seemed important to be a different smaller version of myself, and now I have achieved it I wonder why?
On August 1 I found a lump, and have been treated for cancer ever since. In January my breast will be removed. Then there will be further treatment.
I used to be a happy person.
Now I see no real reason to live.

Had a dreadful day yesterday. At lunch time I was making Greek Courgette balls, and used a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil, but I forgot to turn off the gas. Later I heard a strange noise from the kitchen and went in to find that in fact the pan had set on fire, and the kitchen wall wall ablaze.
It is like the worst nightmare to be in a room with thick black smoke and towering flames.
I used damp tea towels to throw over the pan, and then another damp cloth to pat the wood on the wall to put out the flames. The kitchen is now filthy. The smoke went throughout the house. All the walls are sooty.
I was so frightened.
I woke up this morning to the sickening smell. Even my bed smells of it.
The good thing is I didn't eat much so my weight went down.

HALF WAY THERE
Lost 5 kgs so far. It's going well. I was afraid I would find it hard to give up alcohol, (empty calories) but I am replacing it with bottles of water and cups of tea.
It is a bit like giving up smoking really. There are still pangs. I have been going since May 9th.
I am just hoping I can get down to my goal weight.
