Good Morning Thursday!

Hip-Hooray for the Boston Bruins on winning the Stanley Cup!!

STILL no scale movement to speak of!! Changing up the exercise a little bit daily but maintaining calorie deficit of 500-700/day, I don't know...maybe that needs to still be less, like around 300-500? I-YI-YI....

So dental appt yesterday was as expected, yes I do need to get that tooth crowned now. It has gotten worse so next month it will be, already made the two appts. Not looking forward to it, the last crown I got I ended up with TMJ (very painful) and had to finally go to a chiropractor for relief. Felt like my jaw was wired shut. All I could eat was by sipping tomato soup thru a straw for two weeks. Lost about 15 lbs. Hey, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea at this point...(ha-ha). Will try and avoid that this time around but will definately get to the chiro immediately if I feel the symptoms returning and not wait as long as I did last time.

Foggy morning here in CT, had lot's of rain last night. Just finished cooking dinner on the BBQ before the thunder and lightening was upon us. Supposed to be a beautiful day today. Will definately get my walk in at lunch time today!

xoxo to you all!

Happy Hump Day!

...and a SUNNY one here at that!! Another busy day today in store for me and then to top it off a dentist appointment at 4:20. OUCH! Just a cleaning but I know I have a tooth with a slight crack in it that my doc has been bugging me to get fixed for the past year, he will probably bug me again today about it, just not feeling like plunking down about $600 for what the crappy dental insurance doesn't cover for the crown. Will have to bite the bullet sooner or later this summer.

Still no scale movement this morning, gonna clean up the food for the last two weeks of the month to see what I can do before month end. Gotta get off the sugar, should never have made those cupcakes last weekend for DH, but good news is I have logged each one that I have eaten. Running at a pretty decent deficit per day so will wait it out. Patience is a virtue!!

Have a sparkling day everyone!

Have had a couple of super busy days at the office. I finally had to cry uncle and ask for some of my co-workers to pitch in and help me on a couple of projects I am working on if I am going to meet my deadlines. I hardly ever have to ask but lately things have been incredibly hectic.

Went hog wild on the food yesterday but was still at a decent deficit for the day. Tamed it down some today as I was strapped to my desk and didn't get any opportunity to get in my lunch walk. My metabolism is definately ramped up since I have been eating more these past couple of weeks as I am burning about 500 more calories/day even when I don't get in any exercise for the day. The furnace is starting to burn on high, now just let the scale reflect it!! Still working on getting off that 3 lb jump up from when I increased the calories. It will be off before the end of the month for sure.

Wish the rain would stop already, it is quite gloomy and not really very motivating. Finally used my new wok tonight and made stirfry...it was great-tons of veggies and thinly sliced steak. Quite yummy but probably more sodium than I would have liked for today. In process of chugging a barrel of water.

...wait for it....tomorrow is hump day!!!

Happy Sunday

Not much happening on this dreary Sunday. I was going thru some of my recipes I keep on another site (www.allrecipes.com) and came upon a really good breakfast bread I have not made in ages. It is Bab's Blueberry Zucchini Bread. I made a couple of loaves for breakfasts this week for something different, great with a schmear of low fat cream cheese on it and my protein shake. Gotta get off the eggs for awhile, just tired of them for now. A plus is this bread adds some additional fiber. Is great for those of you who do a carb up/spike day.

Also, made hubby his cupcakes he asked for yesterday...yes, I did plan for one and you will notice it is in my food log for today!! It was yummy, but not interested in having any more of them. They are all his except for the 1/2 doz I will take to the office tomorrow. They are yellow cake with lemon pudding in the middle and frosted with chocolate icing. I just used the portion for the boxed stuff since I didn't want to enter a recipe here to calculate the actuals. I think I am close enough for tracking purposes.

Thinking about fathers day weekend next weekend. Gonna be another rough day for my dad. It has been about 2 months since my brother passed. Will have mom and dad down to our house and make some of his favorite things, hope that cheers him up a little on what will be a difficult day for him.

Gotta go for now, time to watch the movie "Seven" with Morgan Freeman and Brad PiTT.
