Yup, It is Monday Again!!


Had a fantabulous bike ride yesterday, love our new bikes. (Bren, I did take a picture now just need to download it!) We were out about 5 hours and only took a few short stops. Stopped for water and a yummy homemade fresh strawberry gelato about midway. Got home about 4:30 and took a nice long shower then downed a protein shake. Dinner was grilled country ribs, grilled peaches with cottage cheese, baked beans and grilled summer squash. It was delicious!!!
A little sore today but not too bad.
Nice warm summy day expected, will squeeze in a walk at some point today when I have a nice lengthy break in the action.

We have a nice long weekend coming up...hope everyone plans to celebrate 4th of July in fun way with family and friends. We are hoping for at least one nice beach day. Will see as the week progresses.

Happy Saturday One and All


Been busy past couple of days, weather has been lousy with rain and temps in low 60's - chills you to the bone---hate it! I want summer and I want it now. Just told DH I hope it warms up enough to go to the beach next weekend for 4th of July as the pool STILL not on track yet for swimming. Went to pool store yesterday to obtain the part needed to stop the filter leakage.

Made a wonderful choppino (seafood stew) last night for supper with some garlic whole grain bread. It hit the spot. I usually have my soup pot put away by now for the summer, but yesterday was the perfect weather for it. Enough left for lunch today will toss in some leftover brown rice since one day of garlic bread is enough for me.

Housecleaning and laundry to do today along with paying all the residual bills from when DH was in the hospital for 3 weeks, crap...hope insurance paid the majority and that there is enough $$ for all the balances due. Gee, between he and I and our combined med expenses we will definatley be able to itemize them this year!

Is it Thursday already? Boy, where has the week gone??
Cruddy stormy weather for the next few days really hampers out doors activity, good news no garden watering necessary.

Food plan going well, feeling "lighter". Only recording whole number losses so hopefully the next weight recorded will bring me into a new decade. I have been hanging here in the 250's for so long, I am ready to leave them behind for good! I did see a post awhile ago, forget who said it but the jist was that if you were at a weight for a long period of time in your life, you will probably hang there for awhile as your body feels this is where it should be....WRONG, need to bypass it and keep moving on. Unfortunately, I do remember being in the 250's AND 240's for probably 10 years each so I may have a long haul to get past the next decade as well. Not gonna worry about that for now, will cross that bridge when I get there!

Saw something on TV this morning as I was preparing my oatmeal. Denny's has a new sandwich called the Midwestern meat something, basically it is some kind of chopped up meat, french fries, cheese, ketchup. Almost made me want to vomit. I just have a hard time thinking that people actually eat food like that.

Did anyone happen to catch Dr. Oz yesterday, he did a great piece on sugar and what it does to your body. Yikes, just about as bad for your liver as alcohol!! Will do some more research on that and do a forum maybe over the weekend. Stay tuned!
