Yesterday I began my journey with Weight Watchers. It was an interesting day of learning the diet, understanding how things are calculated and finding tools to help do this without spending the 20 bucks a month WW wants for you to buy into their program. I found an absolute gold mine in a spreadsheet! Keeping a food journal here is going to be the hardest part because while I have done this before when on Atkins, this is going to require more work on the keeping track end. With Atkins I just tracked what I bought and didnt buy high carb things. Another thing I would like to get on the list of important things to work on - Getting on a multivitamin every day. I know this was a vital part of my Atkins diet. When I stopped the diet and money was short, I also stopped taking my multivitamin. Also I have stressed to my loved ones how important their support is to me, hopefully my fiance will sign up for the site and help by commenting on my journals. I cant expect him to do it, but I know that it would go a long way towards helping with my goals and the pitfalls I go through. My challenge is that I am getting married in a few months and would like to look a bit better in a wedding dress.

I have decided to switch to weight watchers, I have been on Atkins for 3 years and I just cant keep on the diet any longer since I am no longer the only one in the house. With two people who eat carbs and lots of them every day living with me, I need a diet that I can do that helps me track what I am eating and help me do it healthy without limiting one section of the food pyramid. Atkins worked for me, it did, I lost alot of weight but now I am close to right back where I started and simply because I dont have the money to keep buying the expensive requirements of Atkins. Hopefully I can get some tools that will help me do this without having to buy into Weight Watchers right away because I dont have the money to do that right now.

I gained alot of weight and I cannot figure out why. I need to get back into the groove of things and it seems like it is a loosing battle.
