A lil side action ... a ripe squash from the front flower bed with six pearl onions. Salt and pepper added but without oil. #thefarmerinthedell

Many thanks to the member (whom I cannot recall, although I have two suspects!) who posted the recipe for Brussels sprout slaw paired with some turkey balls and garnished with pistachios. I subbed in sunflower seeds for the pistachios and made this ins a batch of 7 (seven!) a couple weeks ago.
The variety this meal gives in the evenings is really helping me adhere to my meal plan, week in and week out.
Macros and calorie values for this actual dish logged in dinner for today.

I came in from the back porch at one in the afternoon feeling hungry in a way I usually don't. Stomach growling. I'd walked the pups a bit over a mile this morning, then did some yard work in the sun. Frequent breaks and plenty of cool water.
I ran through scenarios in my mind, like maybe eating a steak and some grilled veggies in addition to the plan for day. I decided to get in the shower and think about it while cleaning up. While in the shower, I told myself I was going to eat my usual lunch first and then, only after doing 20 minutes of mindfulness meditation, take the step of thawing out some meat to cook.
Ultimately, I decided to see what the values would be like for the day with increased quantities of my usual lunch of apples and peanut butter -- I plugged in 300, then 346 g of apples and 80 g of peanut butter instead of 190 g and 50 g, respectively, that I normally eat. I was pleased to see this modification kept my daily intake today under 2500 calories. Looking at the food on the plate, it looks (feels?) like enough.
I am feeling good. My interoception tell me I am in catabolosis right now. That's right where I want to be.
