Finally moved the scales this month, for the first time in many months! It's a constant battle, but one I am committed to winning. I had a complete physical and blood workup in December, and passed all with flying colors! Now I am really psyched to get below 200 for the first time in 10 years!

I was blindsided yesterday when my husband came home and announced that he had been let go after 15 years with the company. I will have to postpone focusing on diets and weight loss for awhile...

I watched the season premiere of Biggest Loser last night, and suffered with the new members. The largest people ever to compete, and it's so scary what we humans can do to ourselves! It also makes me feel grateful to be a little over 200. I am so close to the 100's that I'm very excited rather than frustrated these days. I KNOW that this is my year to meet my goals. I am psyched!
Saw some great healthy diet pointers on Live with Regis and Kelly this morning. Went to their website and copied them over to Word and saved them. Good reminders of things that I already knew in my head. Still, it's helpful to have a cheat sheet.
Thanks for compliments on my new profile pic. Our daughter is a photographer, and she took that in August. We're still sweethearts after 37 years. What a blessing!

Freezing rain here today, and no sunshine. I do much better with sunshine. Much much better! But my eating is according to the plan, and I am feeling mostly satisfied. Felt a little hungry at bedtime last night, but bearably so. Doing well on exercise, too. Feeling pleased with progress.

First day back on the Rice Diet. I tried South Beach, and You on a Diet, and could not budge any weight. I have continued to exercise regularly; conditioning and moderate weight training plus walking videos. Have been eating healthy all along for several years, and my body is just so resistant to losing that I really need to get more drastic. Last time on Rice Diet, I lost 30 lbs and have kept it off. So I'm finally ready to go back to RD and stick to it until I reach my goal. Fortunately, Jeff is willing to go on it with me, but factoring in some extra protein in his lunches.
I'm psyched! This is my year!! Woo hoo!!!
