Day 42 - 51 minutes/15 miles/135 watts/74 rpms
Medical Screening completed yesterday. Pre-surgical testing tomorrow. 5 days until surgery. I'm on a roll with this exercise challenge, but the procedure date is a sort of finish line now. The workouts aren't any harder to complete, but I can see future difficulties in scheduling time to do them. Let's say I was on day 100. That's a 1 hour and 49 minute workout. If I oversleep or have errands it could jeopardize my ability to fit it in. Of course I would end up going into work late to do it, wouldn't you? Watts up, distance up. I would've thought pedaling faster got you farther. C'est la vie..

P.S. I would like to ask my fellow FS member to reach out to my little sister, "Sharon R." (or Tootsie, as I call her) and encourage her to start exercising again. She sits behind her computer and stalks my FS, never commenting, never acknowledging my little notes to her. It's in her best interests, I promise. :)

Day 41 - 50 minutes/14.2 miles/124 watts/79 rpms
I can't believe I traveled .2 miles less than yesterday with a minute more of pedaling, but I assume the watt rate is responsible for the bike traveling farther in the same amount of time? I don't know, but I had over 600 cals burned. That's the important number. My weight has been jumping up and down. I wonder if my old fitbit scale has fitbit the dust (see what I did there?).. I'll check my weight at work later tonight with school's scale.

Day 40 - 49 minutes/14.4 miles/132 watts/68 rpms
Work rate up/revolutions down. This seems to be what happens when it feels like I don't have any energy. Keeping the rpms over 85-90 forces me to drop the tension but ups the calories out. Either way I'm down 10 lbs. now, so exercise + diet is working. 6 more days until my surgery. Tomorrow is the medical clearance exam and Friday is pre-surgical/COVID testing. Getting closer...
