Thank you everyone for the kind words regarding our plight. We (she) completed chemo part 4 of 6 on Wednesday and the accumulating effects are piling on. You know, she's tall, beautiful, kind, and forces me to be better even when I'm not interested in better; that's old news. Since September, I've found she's far tougher than she looks. There are no words to tell you how deeply awestruck I am to meet this cage fighter of a woman, this funny bald stranger I can't take my eyes off of, this sweet warm gravity keeping me forever in her orbit. No words. Back to the fat cowboy. I know it looks like a 10 lb jump but it's actually 12 or 13. I hit 197 something the Tuesday following my last weigh in and didn't weigh til this morning. I think I lived comfortably in the 205 neighborhood til TG and then too much pecan pie. Anywho, I'm getting back to it. I'm not going to log food til next year. I can reign this in and find the old neighborhood. Look ma, no hands! If I'm 210 in 2017, then we log, we focus, and we move forward. Finish the year like you mean it My People. I think about y'all often but if it's ok, I'll continue to run silent and deep for the remainder. Keep those you love close during the coming days. Say it all today. Do everything you've been meaning to do.

Might be too long so if you're distracted by shiny things or cookies, like me, you might not read. That's ok. I'm officially across the 200 line. Long strange trip but totally worth it! Thank you everyone for all the support and especially Ches for our friendly race to this milestone. Today, I'm changing things up a little. I'm tired and I feel my focus being directed elsewhere. I'm sticking with the 5:2 because I truly like it and also to my 6-8 hour daily eating window, unless socially inconvenient. My menu has always been weight loss blasphemy and will likely continue to be but I'm not going to log anything for awhile. I'm just going to go on auto-pilot until after Thanksgiving. I'll log my weight on the Monday after and we'll all see how I've done. If I can stay in the 205 neighborhood, I'll consider that success. I have a defined goal, a specified period of time, and we'll all see my measurable results; this I learned from Ches. However, healthy is the watchword in our house today. Therein lies my redirected focus. My Partner In All Things was diagnosed back in September with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I hope everyone gets acquainted with the symptoms as it's often misdiagnosed, as in our case. It's rare (less than 2% of breast cancers) and it's very aggressive. Please search the net and read about "No Lump, Still Cancer" and as a personal favor to a cowboy you hardly know, make sure all the women in your world are aware of IBC and it's symptoms. Moving forward, we don't do excuses around here and we know a thing or two about waging a proper war. This fight is on. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Saddle up and ride my FS friends.

The 205 plateau is behind me (I think). I bounced around from 204-208 for about 3 weeks. Birthday cake and cookies can do that to a guy. I feel good even though my exercise has dropped off with the cooler weather. On that subject, I'm no longer the "human oven" I once was. Now I'm cold all the time since my body has changed. Need an exercise plan for the winter that works for both of us. Maybe a treadmill. We could both use that. Not sure she will want to get out to a gym when it's cold. Plus we're a little germ phobic these days. We're there Ches! This is my number from 5:45 a.m. Then, I walked in at 1:30 p.m. feeling thin and saw 199.8 (pre-lunch). If things go well, this is my last Monday above 200.

So there must be a guardian at the 200 lb gate and clearly I am not giving the correct answers required for entry. Maybe I'll step aside and let Ches go first. What if it's a trap? Either way, I'm hanging around 205 with zero effort. Denying myself nothing and still not drifting upward. Maybe the body has reached it's happy place. Maybe the guardian's just being a dick.
