I am really happy with my weight loss so far even though my eating habits haven't been the greatest. Part of the reason for this is the amount of stress that's been going on recently. My boyfriend had a knee injury and had to see an orthopedic surgeon today. Thankfully they say it's just inflamed and he's on some strong medication. He cannot work for a week because his job is high physical labor where he's required to do a bunch of bending, stooping, and getting on his knees. However, he goes stir-crazy if he's doing "nothing" and having to stay in bed. Even with his iPad and Netflix, he's one of those guys that just has to get up. I told him, NO firmly because I want him to get better. Haha, I'm sure you ladies can relate to this as it seems several of our men are rather stubborn when it comes to doctor's orders. Nevertheless, I love him to pieces!
Despite that stress and other work/school stress, I'm still consistently losing weight; which is a good thing! I don't really know how I am but I'm not complaining!

You know you are a newbie when you just discovered the "My Notifications" button. Whoops! I was trying to figure out how to know who commented on what without going through all the posts! Lol
By the way, is there no way to see challenge groups on the FS mobile app? I could be blind and missing it, I just thought I'd ask. If not, they should put it there because I love the way the mobile app is designed (almost better than the website). The only thing I wish is that [img] tags should show up. Still, this is an amazing website.

I decided to upload a real picture of me that was taken a couple of years ago. I don't like taking pictures so I don't have a lot of them. Anyone else have that problem?
Oh and I have a random question - is there a way to write on a specific person's wall or whatever FatSecret calls their "page"? I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate on this website after just joining a couple of days ago. Thanks to all who has made a warm welcome so far!

Today is a wonderful day, and guess what? It's MONDAY! My boss is awesome - I told her about my fitness goals and she asked me if I would like to go to another part of campus to pick up some forms. Well by "other part", it's really over about a mile away (one way). Of course, I was elated she even offered - who wouldn't want to get up from their desk job?! Now I'm at around 6,000 steps and my day has barely started!
I'm so excited to work in a place that supports a healthy lifestyle. I'm also excited about another small loss. All the small pieces add up to bigger ones later on!
Here's some motivation for today. :)

What an amazingly busy and productive day! I love days like this, I feel alive! Today, I ended up treating myself to my very first activity tracker that has an HR too. I can't wait to use it! My awesome love of my life helped me rearrange our bedroom and did some much needed deep cleaning. You wouldn't believe all the dust! After hacking up fur balls (we have two cats), we resorted to getting a much better air filter and also bought a air purifier. He's been sneezing like mad. Hope this helps!
I don't know why but cleaning is such a wonderful way to relieve stress for me. I'm curious what your stress reliever is? What do you do that instantly elevates your mood and makes you happy and helps you unwind?
I used to not think about the importance of relaxing, but this picture really opened my eyes. I thought I'd share.
