I have been taking my 80/10/10 diet book into the grocery store with me when I shop and using the menus in the book as the basis for my purchases. On the other hand, the diet leaves me prone to cravings for junk food. I can't account for the cravings. Am I still learning how to make the diet work for me? Is there a flaw in the diet? On days when I am successful in not binging my success is only a temporary victory of willpower. I have not been able to sustain my success for more than 4 days in a row so far.

I have not been looking forward to facing reality. I have gained 37 pounds since I last weighed in back in June. What seems even worse, I haven't been on a continuous binge the past 5 months. I have been going back and forth between Atkins and 80/10/10, having problems with each.
Oh well, the past can't be changed, so back to the old drawing board. New start.

I am not losing much weight on the low fat Vegan diet, but I still like the diet in some ways -- it seems healthy to eat fruits and vegetables so I am prepared to be patient about weight loss.
I am still learning. Since my last update I set up an account at Cronometer.com to record calories and exercise, and I continue to watch youtube.com videos to learn more.
I am surprised that animal cruelty (which I thought was nutty) has become kind of important to me in a personal way. I am not trying to change the world, but if I don't eat meat today, then no animal had to die for me to live.
