Feeling kind of blah at this point in the day. A combination of trying to eat my last bit of food & guzzling water on top of that. Gave up on the food & put it away but I'm still working on the water.

So I got in over 20,000 steps, burned nearly 5,000 calories & it's my Spike day so I ate nearly 4,000 calories to make up for all that ones I was burning. That's nearly 1,000 calories more than usual. Oddly enough I felt hungry for it too. Kind of a different approach today to compensate for all the walking.

I'm starting to think that my body was starving before. FS was saying I wasn't burning nearly as many calories as I burn when I briskly walk 6 miles as my BMF. Take into account that I was trying to only eat between 1200-1500 calories . . . Idk, just a theory.

Sat is weigh-in/measurement day! I think the only reason I'm nervous is b/c Sun is my birthday. Considering I'm not doing anything (unless I walk myself to the movies), I'd prefer to have something good to come out of my weekend. One bonus though is that my birthday is on my Spike day, so that is a HUGE plus already!!

Alright, my melatonin is kickin' in & I have to be up early to do study guides & other fun school stuff.

So today is my Spike day & no exercise but it had to be done. I rode my bike 4 miles to my friend's to go out to breakfast & then walked back. Even w/ breakfast & the grande soy frap I got from Starbucks, I already had a 1900 calorie deficit & nearly 12,000 steps today!! Yay! I do have more walking in my future today which is ok. I'm not sure if I'll wear my flip flops for it though. I will says this though, Reef makes some AWESOME flip flops!! There's no way in hell I'd walk even a mile in most flip flops but my Reefs are little clouds of love on my feet! = D

Biggest pitfall over the last month, I've been struggling to get even 40oz of water in everyday. The reason: CAFFEINE!! Unlike in my past, I'm not doing so well w/ the drinking caffeine & getting in all my water. Definitely something I'm being conscious of & working on by backing off the caffeine as much as possible.

Started wearing my BMF on my calf & I think I'm getting far more accurate results than before. It wouldn't even register when I'd ride my bike, but it definitely did today. So I'm happy about that (esp b/c I don't have to worry about unsightly fat rolls & discomfort).

Short journal regarding my BMF.

So I decided to switch it over to being worn on my calf. Tried to do it last night but as soon as I moved it came unstrapped, so sleep-wise it'll have to be on my arm. No prob, esp now that I have the large straps.

This morning after uploading my sleep data I put it on my right calf, on the inside. Wore it for a few hours & decided to upload the data. WHOA!!!!! Major difference. It's already showing 7 mins of activity, 5 mins of moderate activity & 2 mins of vigorous activity. I haven't done anything. I drove my nephew to school, brought the trash bins back up to the side of the house from the curb, and been walking around the house. There isn't a single thing that I've done that I would even consider to be moderate activity.

So I will continue to wear it on my calf throughout the rest of the day. If I continue to see the same results I'll reset my activity level measurement to a higher setting on my BMF tonight before bed. If I still see these results tomorrow, then I'll have to go back to wearing it on my arm b/c these results so far today are definitely out of the normal range.

Good therapy session today. I will say it for the millionth time, I LOVE my therapist b/c he's just that awesome!! = D

Worked out today. Not happy after getting my BMF readings. None of my interval workout on the free track elliptical was "vigorous". I was doing 2 mins @ resistance 15 & 2 mins @ resistance 1 for 30 mins w/ a 5 min cool down. Whatever, I'm SO not letting it drive me to the treadmill. Hate that damn thing. Guess I'll be freaking people out w/ my asthmatic breathing while I work it out on the elliptical. 70 mins is a piece of cake compared to interval training on the elliptical.

Also had to walk home from campus. Nearly 10,000 steps in just that journey, so I'm almost near 15,000 steps for the day. I'm also a few hundred calories away from having burned 2,700 calories today.

Just ate my lunch that I picked up at Starbucks down the street from my house. Now it's time for a nap. 4.25 hrs of sleep isn't gonna cut it today.

I'm about ready to start boycotting Mondays!! I don't even have classes (or work for that matter) today, but for some reason things just CANNOT go well come Monday morning. On top of it, 4.25 hrs of sleep has me in a grouchy mood which doesn't help to deal w/ the crap that comes w/ Mondays. Oh well, what can you do?

Totally DIDN'T finish my pasta last night which is A-OK by me b/c that means I have dinner tonight. Good thing too b/c I just don't see myself cooking today. I'll definitely be getting in my steps today as I have to walk home from campus today. Have an appointment w/ my therapist this morning & was lucky enough to catch a ride w/ my sister & nephews. Today is the day that I feel like I'm about to break about not having a car. Before when I was riding my bike it was b/c I didn't have money to put gas in my car, but was still able to use it at my own free will. Now that I can't use it w/o permission & an acceptable reason, I'm noticing just home much time walking & riding my bike eats up my time. Nothing is running efficiently in my life b/c of it. Being dependent on someone else for rides makes me feel like I'm 15 again. 14 yrs of the ultimate independence taken away in a single day.

OK, that's about of enough for now. I'm in such a bad mood this journal could get far worse if I keep going.

Hope everyone else is having a better Monday morning than I am.
