Low-Carb Diet Struggle with Pooping Lol
Hello Nutter4 (great name by the way) - this is a good discussion point for the low carb community. As far as I'm aware if you don't eat a high residue diet, you might not poop daily but it's not constipation even though it may be assumed to be. Looking at research which is explained by sites like "Low Carb Down Under" and "Diet Doctor", they go as far as saying the research saying we need so much fibre is non-existent. I still maintain it's a matter of adjustment, and of course eating vegetables is good for you anyway!

Low-Carb Diet Struggle with Pooping Lol
Hello Biginwisco. I have been following the low carb way of eating for a few years now. Like you I was used to "movements" on a daily basis. I notice this has moved to a couple of times a week and at first I was concerned, but it is now okay for me. I don't have any issues and I don't need psyllium husk. If you don't eat bulky foods you won't need to go so regularly. I still eat green veg, and have nuts/seeds which is enough and my gut feels great. So don't worry about less frequency, who says you have to go daily anyway. It's just a matter of adjustment. One thing though, no disrespect to the previous entry, but Senokot is okay for constipation, meaning if you have a full gut but can't go. In our case we don't have this problem.

Alcohol and dieting
Just noticed your post. I gave up the drinkies about 2 yrs ago and lost about 18lbs over time. Also over time I started to eat a lot more sugary foods and the weight crept up again. I think the sugar was a replacement for the booze. So Beware!
It's a big ask - no booze OR cakes! This had better be worth it...
