Struggled a bit tonight. My calories for the day were under 1.400 until a stressful situation at 10pm. I ended up eating 8 more cherries, a King’s Hawaiian roll with butter and a Thomas’ English Muffin with butter, peanut butter and jelly. Total now (11:22pm) is right around 2,000 calories. My “average daily calories” for this week is still around 1,500/day; but I was doing so well, and I’m not happy with myself for the lapse in judgment. Oh well, not going to allow myself to have the “all or nothing” mentality that makes me derail after lack of perfection. Thanks for listening. I’m going to try to go back to sleep now.

I have a question for you. I started drinking ONLY WATER today. Does it count if you put in a few drops of flavor enhancer, or is that little bit of Stevia detrimental? I want to start out right. Of course, the very day I stop drinking diet soda, Kroger puts the 12-pack of ALL kinds of sodas for Buy Two, Get THREE free! The devil tries to be very sneaky, but I’m not yielding - even for the grandkids!

Weight down another 1.4 pounds this morning. Only had 1,400 calories yesterday. Just began drinking water. PTL, it actually tastes good!
I haven’t had much Protein at all, because I’ve been pushing the fruits (🍊 🍒 🫐) and vegetables (squash with onions, and cabbage).
Had bladder appointment today. Going to get Sacral Nerve Stimulator implanted in my back. I’m just tired of peeing on myself all day every day for the past several decades! I wear 3-4 maximum absorbency pads a day. I hope it will eliminate the problem completely.
I feel very optimistic about everything right now!

Great day yesterday (Monday). Only had a bit over 1,200 calories. Weight down from 199.2 on Monday morning to 196.8 on Tuesday morning. VERY pleased with that! I think I might start walking a couple of miles today with the boot on. If I’m not bending my toe (which I can’t do in the boot), I think I can walk at least 2 miles. After I had total knee replacement surgery, within 10 days, I was walking a couple of miles a day with a walker. I’ll have to go slowly, so I don’t trip with the clunky boot, but I think I will be fine. I think his main concerns with the walking were (1) bending my too too much, and (2) having it rub up against a regular tennis shoe, and delaying healing. I WILL follow the surgeon’s advice about not getting it wet, though. DAY TWO begins! Only 7 more diet root beers to finish before I’m a water-only girl!
