I have been away for exactly 14 days. And in that time I have managed to somehow not gain weight! Yeah! We had family in for a visit and we ate out EVERY meal! Oy!!
The good news is that I am here. I am back on track with eating. I am going to lose the weight I want to lose before my vacations in October and December!! And ... My Zumba dvd's came in!! So, it's time to start getting off the couch and moving my body a whole lot more.

Crazy weekend ... and crazy week ahead.
Friday ... I lost it. I really went wild with my eating. Saturday I did a little better but ate hardly anything. Sunday I was much more selective.
But the one thing I can tell you that I learned is if you start your day with sugar ... you'll crave it the rest of the day. By sugar, I mean doughnuts, candy bars, etc (refined sugar). I usually start my day with either a clementine (cause I have a HUGE bag of them) or a drink from Jamba. Neither of these makes me crave sugar like on Friday when I had a muffin for breakfast and doughnuts as a mid-day snack.
So, stay away from the sugar and it wont haunt you.

I was taken out to lunch yesterday and I *did* practice restraint. I only ate 1/2 of my chimichanga! However, I know that between that and what my husband had planned for dinne ... that's what did me in.
I have also realized the more carbs I have in a given day, the more I *really* want a snack after dinner.
I *will* make better choices today.

I keep hearing Dori in my head saying, "just keep swimming, just keep swimming" ... slowly but surely, one day at a time, I can and will do it!
I lost another pound yesterday! Yeah!! It hasnt been as bad as I thought it was going to be ... but my mind is in a better place for making sure I stay on track. I got really really hungry (i.e. sick hungry) yesterday around 9am. So, I have got to start eating a little more for breakfast. I eat a morning snack when I get up (the clementine), but I need to eat more protein. I will try with that today. I also think that the water I drank helped too.
My mini goal was to get below 300. I am here. I am 298. So, my next mini goal is to get to 290. Slowly but surely ... I will get there.
