Okay, for some stupid reason I gave myself permission to start my diet today and therefore I gained 2 pounds. I'm hoping part of it is fluids because I had chinese food and soy makes me retain fluids. And today is my birthday, so I'm not promising I'll be TOTALLY good today but I'm going to try.
I'm also going to start exercising again . . . my birthday present to me!!!

Wednesday, September 24, 2008 . . . the Christmas challenge starts, and I officially become a "speed limit." That does sound better than a senior citizen, doesn't it?
Losing weight has always been a struggle. I am a carb addict, and not the healthy carbs . . . the yummy ones (i.e. cookies!!!).
I saw that someone had posted iin their food journal those Austin cheese/peanut butter crackers. I LOVE THOSE THINGS. But if I buy a pack of them (12 packs to a pack, I think), I find that I eat two or three packs a day. So I just won't buy them. My husband bought some made by Keebler; fortunately, they weren't as good but I still ate some.
I am trying hard to cut back on the carbs, and the grazing. After all, I am not a cow!
So I'm preparing my mind for the Christmas challenge . . . a pound a week! Though, I have to admit I'd like to lose more than a pound a week. But even a pound a week is better than gaining or maintaining.
I know this can be done. I do, I do!
