Quick and easy breakfast to get the day going. Turmeric granola, organic strawberries, almond milk yogurt, organic banana, coconut shreds, a touch of walnut halves and some almond butter.

Five years ago, I was obese, lost and depressed. As a former college basketball player (a hooper), I lost my self identity. Luckily, I found cycling and it changed my life for the better.
Throughout my journey, I’ve lost over 50 pounds and have changed my relationship with food for the better. This transformation has made me incredibly passionate to motivate others to lead a healthy lifestyle through their exercise method of choice.
The best advice my nutrition coach ever gave me was: “If you don’t want to listen to me, keep eating what you want and pay attention to how it makes you feel.”
I am not into diets, because being healthy is a lifestyle choice not something we do for a moment in time. Am I perfect? No. So, I will use this space to share my butritrion with you and why I am consuming certain things.

A quick bike ride to a local cafe. This is a breakfast croissant sandwich with vegan sausage, two eggs, cheddar cheese and light cranberry sauce and arugula. It paired nicely with my almond milk flat white. Rode the meal off on my way home! ;)

Quick breakfast before my 42 mile bike ride. This was made for functional purposes rather than taste (although, it was delicious). 8 oz white rice (carbs for fuel), 2 fried eggs (protein for my muscles) and tomatoes because well, who doesn’t like tomatoes?
