Hmmmm...where to begin? Well, I'll start off by saying that I've always been on the chubby side my whole life. Throughout my high school years I was always a little overweight, probably about 200 pounds. My first year in college I decided to get myself in shape and I got down to the lowest weight of my adult life at 180 pounds. A couple of years later I got married and started to settle into the pressures and stress of the married/working life of "the real world". At the age of 28 I got divorced and my weight was at probably the highest it had been up until that point at 220 pounds. After the divorce Taco Bell, Mcdonald's, and Domino's became my best/worst friends. Back on March 21 of this year(2012) I decided that I have had enough of being fat, unhappy, and out of shape as I was at the highest weight of my life at 240 pounds. That is when I began my weight loss and fitness plan to reach my goal of 180 pounds. I just recently found this website and I did my first weigh in today and I am 20 pounds lighter than I was 6 weeks ago when I started! I plan on continuing my plan of eating 2000 or less calories per day and exercising 5 days each week until I reach a weight of 200 pounds. At that point I plan on doing P90X(hopefully starting at the same time as some others here in a group) to help me lose the last 20 pounds to reach my goal and help whip me back into shape like when I was 19. I'm not looking at this as a temporary quick fix diet just to lose some weight. I'm trying to make a change in my lifestyle and to make this my new norm instead of vegging out in front of the tv with greasy bag full of fast food. Hopefully I will meet some nice folks here to enjoy the journey with.
