i took my weight this morning and was not very pleased with what i saw. I think i will limit taking my weight to once a week to record. but i will also be working on exercising more this week. (and as of right now i have no hours at work so i guess ill have alot of time to be able to exercise!) guess we shall see what works and what doesnt. i'm hoping to lose 5 (hopefully) lbs. this week, but it will take alot of work and im ready for it! also, im thinking of maybe going to try on some wedding dresses this week too. I want to see if what i think is my dream dress will look good and/or fit me. we shall see. i have a ways to go before the wedding yet so i can still lose those lbs before i make my final decision.

I'm so excited! I got up this morning and I weighed myself. This is the first time in I cant remember how long, that I'm down below 200. The last time I remember being less then 200 was when I was pregnant with my son, which was only for a short period of time, so I don't count it. Other than that, it has been probably about 5 or 6 years since I have been below 200. This is just another kick start and I hope it will keep me going on this weight loss. I'm only about another 7 lbs. to go until I have won my bet with my doctor. I can do this! I just need to keep eating healthy the way I have been and keep on exercising, even if it is just walking for an hour a day or so. I'll keep more updates coming!

So I got up early this morning and had a decent breakfast and then went for a 25 min walk around my trailer park. I think it was about the equivalent to a mile walk. I have been recording everything i eat and im trying to get back onto my exercising daily. This is the start of a new week and im determined to lose the rest of this weight by then end of the year. Since im following the 40 lbs. by end of summer, i hope to get the most out of it and lose the entire 40 lbs by the time i go back to my next dr. appt. in september. Currently we have a bet that i cant lose 10 in 2 months. I want to show him that i can actually lose 40 in 2 months. that would be really nice. I need to get my scale from my moms house (i just recently moved in with my fiancee and my son) so that i can keep up with my weigh ins. He has been doing a really good job of keeping me encouraged with the exercising because there are days, ok most days, i just want to be lazy. once i quit the smoking though, i should have more energy and i wont get as tired out so quickly. I'm also thinking about renewing my gym membership so that i can really keep track of how much i am walking and working out. Once things get straightened out financially i will be looking more into the gym membership.

this would be day 2 of continuing to lose weight. One of the biggest concerns that i have while trying to lose another 60 lbs. is that im trying to quit smoking as well and i am afraid that when i do finally quit that i will be eating more. Yesterday i didnt do so well with my calorie intake and i was above 2500 calories. today im hoping to do better, and im trying to get more protein into my system. Luckily now that my 10 month old son, Luka, is crawling i am having to get up more to go chase after him so he doesnt get into anything hes not supposed to be into or get hurt because today he discovered the joys of climbing. also today i am planning on walking around the mall for a while with a friend who is also trying to lose weight. im chosing the mall today because, well, its syracuse NY and once again its raining. i love it here but the weather changes more frequently then most people change their underwear. So as far as the quitting smoking and eating more fear, does anyone have any suggestions that i might be able to use so that i dont eat more?

ok so this is my first journal entry. I have been trying to lose weight since January. So far I have lost aprox. 30 lbs and im felling alot better since i have lost the weight. I just had my first born, Luka, back in early september and was doing well until about 6 weeks after and i gained all my pregnancy weight back. so now im back at where i started before i even got pregnant with another 40-60 lbs. left to go. I think the hardest thing for me with the weight loss is keeping a schedule for exercising and keeping away from the sweets. When i do get a junk food craving i try to go more for fruit though it usually ends up in a pepsi or chocolate. I have cut back quite a bit, but i would like to limit it still to little or none. Anyone have any advice?
