Very dissapoined in myself. Last November I was 148lbs and now currently at 185. I feel fat, sluggish, worn out and generally not on my game. I work in a hospital where people depend on me getting places quick when called upon and I feel lacking, that is when compared to a year ago.
The diet I have been following the past few months has been that of whole grains, fresh fruit, vegetables etc.. And all that is fine, except for me main problem seems to be 'going out' with friends. I tend to over order on appetizer and for the most part drink too much heavy beer. I've managed to pinpoint the beer as the main problem from a caloric standpoint--one or two is okay but 6 is devastating to any diet,...
Okay so as of late I've been reading these books by Tim Ferriss. He has a trilogy of '4-Hour' lifestyle books and included in the latter two are a diet he calls Slow Carb. It's a high protein low carb diet that discourages the consumption of any grains or fruit while promoting eggs, beans, cruciferous vegetables, and all types of meat.
Thus the experiment begins and I wonder how my body will react to the absence of bread and beer. Only time will tell.
Goodby till next time,

Weighed in today at 183lbs. Feeling okay, not great.
My diet has been nothing but sugar in various forms -- cookies, candy, cake, pastries, etc...
I really need to start doing my own shopping and staying committed to those foods which I purchase.
Deleted Lose It! As I only gained weight while on the app; however I have picked up a Wahoo Fitness HR Montor and am thinking about starting C25K.
I've never been a runner but still believe I can do it if I really try!!
My goal is to get in shape enough to feel comfortable climbing rock at this gym near my new job.
In addition to running I should start using my club fitness membership and lift some weight.
All and all my goal is to get up and out of the house and to the park now that the weather is nice.
Let's do iT!

Started using Lose It! To track weight. I do like this for a lifetime journal.
I was doing really good up until January and I weighed about 160
Then got depressed and stressed from life and school
Started eating candy and sugar for temporary happiness
Wasn't a good choice, now I just kinda feel like crap at 175 midday closer to 180
Can't fit I'm clothes anymore
Change is needed

Fell off the wagon last week - - TacoHut, Pizza, Bagels, Muffins, Candy, Beer, Wine, etc...
Overall feeling of begin gross. Yesterday was the worst of it as Friday for lunch was a big burrito from a local family owned mexican restaurant. Then I topped it off with a slice of cheese quesadilla. Being lactose intolerant, my gut is incapable of digesting the proteins in dairy, specifically cheese -- cheese is the worst! My stomach hurt all morning, real big stabbing pains in the inguinal region follewed by frequent, horrific trips to the bathroom. That being said I realize the consequences of what gets consumed and will not be eating cheese like that anytime soon.
Considered detoxing today, but started the day with a "pumpkin walnut crunch bagle with pumpkin shmear" from Einsteins. We will see where the day goes, but I think it can only get better and by tomorrow morning I will be back on track to start the week with a nice, monday breakfast.
