On an impulse yesterday my boyfriend and I joined a gym and today we did our first workout. Definitely feeling the burn but happy with our decision. I feel like it will be much easier to get motivated when you have a partner.

On Sunday I told my boyfriend that I have lost 3 lbs in the last two weeks. Then yesterday we were discussing what to have for dinner (this is when we got home from work) and I said that I ate poorly that day (I had forgotten my breakfast, didn't eat a filling lunch, etc) and instead of saying something along the lines of "well you will do better tomorrow" or "everyone has their off days" he said "you don't want to do that again, you don't want to gain back those 3lbs you lost" He didn't understand why I got upset about what he said, and I told he needed to be more sensitive and not criticize me. That's not going to help me lose weight. And I pointed out that his weight was always a topic of discussion amongst his parents and grandparents (he's also battled weight gain most of his life) so I would think he would be a little more understanding.
