Had a good day, got a nice, hot walk in. My energy is finally starting to come back with nutritional additions to my diet (enzymes for digestion, probiotics, liquid iron and fiber supplement). Seems to be working for now! I made Miss Kitty Cats protein pancakes, and they were really good and held off hunger from 9am to 3. I was so busy at work! Thanks Miss KC! Also thinking of Shirfleur today and sending healing energy. I tried to post pic if the pancakes, not sure it worked. If not, I'll try again in the am. Sweet dreams FS peeps!

Happy Hump Day FS Peeps!
I'm still not weighing because I'm still on a medically advised diet. I'm now able to add fiber to my diet - YAY! My reason for eating in the world, I love fresh fruits and veggies. Sunday I made some delish strawberry rhubarb compote, so that was a nice addition to my cream of wheat today.
So, question for you all. I need to get a certain amount of fiber/nutrients. Do you ever 'eat because you have to' vs. because you want to? I'm really not hungry right now but I need to add some necessary dietary options. I think this might be good maybe and keep me from getting hungry later? it just seems weird to eat when I'm not hungry!

Good Morning FS Peeps!
Still on my 'special' medical diet. Next week I can start adding in fiber woo-hoo! Of course it all depends on how my system responds as I'm still in my recovery journey. Met with the surgeon I had in January on Monday, and it's pretty clear there will be another surgery in my future. Just have to make it to mid August without another flare up. I don't relish the thought of surgery however, I do relish the end game! So, still no good diet foods for about a month. But I still to enjoy coming here, catching up and being inspired by all of you!
This weekend I picked my rhubarb. I cleaned it up, and might have to freeze it (fibrous), until I can have. I will definitely make some chutney/sauce for my eventual oatmeal. I'm enjoying the garden and fighting with squirrels. Earlier in the season they chewed through 3 strands of Edison lights on our deck. Yesterday the little buggars chewed the heads off of all of my gerbera daisies! I've ordered one of those solar powered motion detectors with lights and sound from Amazon. It's war! Will let you know how that works out. (Being a betting woman, I must be honest, my money is on the squirrel), but I'm hoping to more than even the odds!

Yesterday was BAD for pain, doubled over. I was prescribed Augmentin from the ER room last week, not realizing it was amoxicillin (which is in my chart that I'm 'allergic' to - I had added that so they'd stop trying to give me this useless stuff). I developed an immunity to when I was like 10 years old! So for the last nearly week it's 'barely' been helping. And adding solid foods back to my diet reached a tipping point. Unfortunately, it seems my practice and the ER/Hospital are still struggling sharing info. So, it was a very rough day yesterday. Luckily, I was able to get in to see a Dr. yesterday and she prescribed me something quicker acting and a lot stronger, and I'm about 70% better already!
So all that to say, I'm not concerned about weight again. Tracking food at this point mostly to understand what is affecting me. By keeping a record, it helps. If nothing else, it helps me to feel I have some control over cause and effect.
