Hey Happy People.
I haven’t been feeling very well for the last few days. My sinuses are acting up. The weather outside isn’t getting any cooler, but my apartment seems to stay on the cold side. Great for summer…not sure what’s gonna happen come fall and winter. But when it's super cool air around me, i get sinus blockage and headaches. Anyway, it’s time to start drinking my echinecia tea. I spelled it wrong. I always do. But it helps with the pain from my sinus headaches. I need to get some Eucalyptus oil so I can start doing head steam baths.
I’m feeling a bit better today so I wanted to come up and comment and generally just stick my nose in and say howdie. Honestly, the only thing I felt able to do with this computer is log in and update food and exercise (okay, the lack there of). I did get some cooking done (prep for next week) and a little house work. All that laying about let me get some reading done too.
Anyway, hoping everyone is well and happy no matter what your results have been lately. Keep smiling. Labor day is coming. I don’t do grills of any kind, but I know my community will probably be out enforce with theirs. Think I’m gonna just close all my windows, turn on the air and hide out from all those smells. That’s what gets to me these days, the delicious aromas of BBQing.

YES, baby! i was a little worried about today's weigh in. I missed two days working out and i'm still getting that grazing thing under control. but I'll take the two pound loss happily. It's better than i expected. Okay, no days off for working out and ...new rule, i can only graze on what's in my special container on the top shelf of the fridge. It has carrots, celery and pickles. I'm hoping this helps and gets me trained to stop chomping on anything in the fridge that i can get my grubby little hands on. Wish me luck.

i met with Toddy today. she's the dietitian i will be working with at Sparrow from now on. We worked out a very structured meal plan for me to follow in order for me to reach my goal weight for surgery. Not much of it was a surprise except maybe the portion sizes and the fact that i can't use any salt including my beloved Himilayan Pink sea salt. EEEK! I'll give Mrs. Dash a shot and go back to using Smart balance butter for flavor when i cook. I'll have to get used to using exchange lists again. and i'll be using two Optifast products a day. Hopefully this will help me get where i need to be. It does already make me feel more assured and gives me somewhere to go. who knew Ms. "Don't tell me what to do" would like the idea of structure. but with changing everything about the way i'm going to be eating from now on...i need it. I don't feel so overwhelmed now.

So, I’ve decided to gradually decrease my caloric intake by 50 cals a day till I hit Monday which is the first day of my classes for Sparrow. They want me on a 1200 cal meal plan and I was working at 1350. Man, I’m missing those 150 cals already. And I think we should get exercise points for pre-planning meals…what with all the juggling you have to do. I try and make sure I get every calorie I’m due. Does going 9 points over count as excessive? <grin>

Today was a lazy day. I didn’t do any exercise o housework. This pain in my neck has been acting up and I didn’t get any sleep last night…maybe about 3 hours. I’ve been sleeping allot today mostly cause I was tired but the pain pills helped. Not the best start to a challenge program. I didn’t even cook much today. Since I slacked off, I’ll make tomorrow my Tuesday workout day and do some strength training in the morning.
