Holding steady. I may have reached my first plateau. We shall see. I know a plateau can last for a couple of weeks or even longer sometimes. I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing with my food choices and just change up my exercise a bit Maybe that will do the trick. Again, this is a time commitment for me and not a commitment to a rigid 1-2 lb loss every week. Weight loss is happening and will continue to happen as long as I stay the course. I guess I'll be spending a little more time exercising in VR and going for longer walks- and these things bring me joy. Onward we go my friends!!!

Splurged a little last weekend so I went up a bit before coming down. Going out to eat for a birthday celebration this afternoon but I've pre-planned what I'm going to eat and I'm incorporating it into my day. Texas Roadhouse roll- here I come!

Slow and steady wins the race! I'm actually down 17.2 lbs total since the beginning of this year. I had a bit of a false start in the first couple of months just yo-yo -ing around 180-185 pounds. It has only been since mid-May that I've been truly dedicated to lifestyle changes. Going into my third month and I'm still feeling really good about the choices I'm making. I'm focused on staying away from processed foods as much as possible. I'm using single ingredients and making my own meals using a variety of herbs and spices. I love jalpenos, cilantro, arugula and onions! I'm also making healthier choices when eating in a restaurant and when they serve those massive portions, half goes home with me for another meal. I'm not depriving myself of treats either. However, instead of choosing a pint of ice cream loaded with cookie dough, a Yasso 100 calorie mint chocolate chip yogurt bar is actually quite satisfying. Or greek vanilla yogurt with fruit. Or instead of processed flavored oatmeal, I'm now doing steel cut oats with a bit of honey and fruit/nuts/flaxseed, whatever I'm in the mood for. I have a bit of dark chocolate here and there but stay away from things like Snickers. I did have a s'more over the holiday weekend (oops, forgot to count that) but as active as I was, it fit right in. Overall, I actually like my substitutions even better 99% of the time. I don't trust the mirror- it isn't an accurate representation of what I've achieved so far. I do trust that I'm starting to feel a difference in how my clothes are fitting. Best of all, I have more energy and overall FEEL better than I have in awhile. Onward and downward!
