Finally dared to get on the scale. 112.8. So glad my previous wine binge did no permanent damage. Turns out a bottle of zinfandel only contains around 500 calories, could that be right???
I took a day off from exercise yesterday due to a benefit concert I had. It was a long day! I am planning to run at the track today. Hope I can do 6 miles.
I am loving my new obsession of tracking my diet & exercise. It is more productive than obsessing over past relationships. I feel healthy and free from all that baggage. I'm still working on letting go, but it won't be long! Sometimes when things seem the worst it is actually the beginning of something even better.

So according to Dr. Oz and everybody else, red wine is good for us and will help us live longer right? My problem is that I can't seem to limit myself to just one glass. I wake up this morning, look over at the empty bottle, and go like ~ what did I do? I wonder how many calories are in the whole darn bottle? And what about the half empty box of cereal sitting next to it? Did I really eat a half a box of cheerios? 700 calories later...Is a half box of cheerios and a bottle of wine considered a nutritious dinner? I am not writing this on my diet calendar.I hang my head in shame. I am not getting on the scale today, I don't even want to know. Apparently I a have a problem with moderation.

I just joined FatSecret. I am primarily vegan, so no meat or dairy. This is because I believe eating animal products is killing us in large numbers. I eat mostly fruits and vegetables. I use some soy products, mainly soy milk, drink a lot of green tea and eat a tablespoon of black-strap molasses 2-3 times a day. My goal is to attempt to get all of my nutritional requirements from my diet. I want to keep track of the major nutrients in the foods I eat everyday and keep track of the calories I am burning from exercise. My main form of exercise is running. I like to run at the track because I can easily count the miles and I'm obsessive like that! I have nothing against taking a supplement but would prefer to get everything I need from food if possible. Is that a lot to ask? :)
