Field greens Romaine Cukes Tomato Beets
Marinated mushrooms Green beans Ham Onions
Radishes Croutons Balsamic Vinaigrette.

I had A LOT of carrots 🥕 that I needed to eat, so I made Carrot Soup! A puree base with cream, then adding diced multicolored carrots and fresh parsley. Really delicious.👩🏻🍳

Stonefire Flatbread Naan pizza. I horizontally sliced MY naan in half to cut the carbs. Ferrara’s sauce, whole milk mozzarella, artichokes, onion, fennel, mushrooms, yellow zucchini and Parmesan with an olive oil drizzle.
It was delicious!

OK...so one more try...this time with some very serious motivation...A Wedding...MINE.
In the process of a divorce and after reuniting with a high school boyfriend, we are madly in love and plan to marry this year, 2024. At 69, it feels like a miracle to experience true love at our age. It doesn't feel any different than it did so many years ago.
I have 70 pounds that I NEED to loose to be at my peak best...shapely, not thin. Strong, fit but not ripped. Controlling my T2D with Metformin, diet and exercise. My expectations are realistic. My approach is severely cutting my starchy carbs and sugar. Pumping up my protein consumption and exercising twice daily...once at the gym for cardio and home with weights and calisthenics with Daily Burn and ML.Fitness.
After only 2 days, I am down 2.4 pounds. Luck and prayers accepted!
A random selection of recent meals building up to full diet-mode:
Hamburger steak and salad.
Pan seared scallops, tartar sauce and steamed broccoli.
Burger dinner made for fiancé.
Basic said for lunch.
Omelette, bacon, cottage cheese with salsa.
Caprese salad.
Chicken Milanese for dinner.
Steak Salad.
BON APPETIT everyone.
