Since my birthday is coming up in August, I'll save my eating out meal for that day. :) It's almost been 2 weeks and I haven't eaten any fast food and stuck to my diet. It may not seem like a huge deal to most, but it is to me.

I was riding my bike home today from work and someone yelled, "Hurry up, fatso!" out of their car at me. :(

Arggggh, these cravings are driving me insane! First, I want Chinese food, then I want Mexican food. It was over 92 degrees and while driving I saw a guy walking with a slurpee and my eyes nearly popped out of my head. =/
Good thing is I resisted temptation and didn't give in. :) It's officially been a week since I've started my diet and I feel great. I used to weigh myself whenever I got the chance, but I put the scale away and will only weigh myself on Sundays!

This is my first time joining a weight-loss website. My start date of my personal road to becoming healthy was June 3rd, 2012. I started at 242, but am now down to 232; I'm guessing I lost what's called 'water weight'.
First, my "diet". I'm trying to become vegan. So far this week I've been pretty good. I've been eating a varied diet and have been taking vitamins and amino acid supplements. I feel great! My old eating habits were nothing, but soda and junk so this is definitely a huge change. Today, I got paid, and I went to the grocery store where my favorite chinese food place happens to be a couple of doors down. I was VERY tempted to go in, but I told myself NO! I know they say it's okay to give into your cravings, but I don't want to use that as an excuse to eat junk food again and I certainly don't want my body to get in the habit of "begging" for fatty foods all the time.
Second, my exercise. Three times this week I've rode my bike back and forth to work, which seems about 30 minutes per trip. I'm not sure how fast I'm going, but it gets extra exercise into my schedule. Everyday I've been brisk walking for at least an hour. I've tried jogging, which I've done successfully for 5 minutes straight on the treadmill, but I get so tired because my body is not used to exercising. I'm trying to ease into jogging. I lift 10 pound weights everyday for 10 reps, (again, just easing my body into it).
I've wanted this for so long and have had many attempts and failed. I'm determined this time it will stick. :)
