Oi! 3 weeks eating supper greasy food, and somehow I've managed to lose a little rather than gain... or is it just muscle I've lost. I'm getting a cold too, so my energy levels for getting back into exercise are kinda low.
Still I'll just have to start over and get back to a healthy diet.
Weigh-in:
160.2 lb
lost so far:
34.8 lb
still to go:
30.2 lb
Diet followed poorly

I honestly feel like I've been relatively good. At least 30 minutes of exercise, and relatively healthy food choice - soup, stew, salad, smoothies - maybe a little high on the carbs, but I'm thinking the last weigh in, I was just super dehydrated, but the next day I was up a pound or 2 and I haven't gone back down.... either that or I'm gaining muscle. Sigh - maybe once this next little stressful while is done, I'll actually lose some significant weight.
Weigh-in:
161.6 lb
lost so far:
33.4 lb
still to go:
31.6 lb
Diet followed reasonably well

Things are looking better. At least on the eating and exercise fronts.
Our Gazelle arrived and thus far it promises to be an easy way to burn calories. We are pretty impressed so far, although I won't give the machinists too much credit and there is one piece that isn't quite right, so there may be a bit more assembly yet.
Eating, there hasn't been any really bad behaviour, and there is a big old pot of vegetably stew to keep me on the straight and narrow.
I think sleep is going out the window though for the next few days.... sigh.

The last week has been a disaster. I've come home tired, the weather has been rainy and unconducive to walking and my eating has poorer than usual with lots of snacks and too much cheese. Breakfast has been pretty reasonable: a smoothie and sometimes a boiled egg or a bowl of cereal with skim milk. Lunch is maybe a little too big and has been mostly cold cut and cheese sandwiches and sometimes salad. I need to switch from frozen yogurt to regular yogurt and get more fruits and veggies in. Supper - we haven't eaten anything that exciting - which has led to evening snacking on things like cereal and crackers and cheese. I know that I could be making worse choices. We've kept our meat down, but what we are eating isn't low fat and is full of chemicals.
Today though, I tried out 2 work out DVDs I haven't done before (but have had, still in plastic wrap, for over two years). The first I lasted about 10 minutes before boredom kicked in, but the second, Crunches' Belly, Butt and Thigh Boot Camp was actually kind of fun. Not as good as having a real instructor and real music, but I'd do it again, and I feel like I worked hard. I also did my 15 minute abs video and some stretching. I am really really missing the pool and my bike.
We expect the Gazelle to get here from Sears on Monday or Tuesday, so hopefully that gives another option for exercising when I'm not feeling creative - and the barge order is coming (tomorrow - so lots of lifting, carrying and reorganizing.
Last night was S.'s bday, so I won't discuss my last night before the diet starts eating. I don't usually eat until I feel overly full, but I managed last night. Still for pizza, I actually didn't eat that much (and it was home-made, thin crust) and I actually didn't eat many chips. The cheesecake with whip cream... um.... well, sometimes you have to do stuff, but I'm doing serious penance today. There still may be a walk or yoga left to engage in... or maybe some wii.
But I better get to doing my real work... so that maybe next week I have a bit more time to get in more daily exercise.

Props to me:
Breakfast: 1 half grapefruit, 1 fruit smoothie with probiotic yogurt
Exercise: 1 hour of sweat inducing cardio
Hoping to chase it with 15 minutes of abs and 15 minutes of stretching
6 hours of work and maybe a walk if the sun comes out of hiding
