Still working on it though am finding it hard to keep up my food journal. Have had real carb cravings lately.

losing 0.5 lb a week
05 June 2008
Weight went down, but may have been that I was wearing lighter clothes ;-0. ( Seriously) Anyway, things have been going reasonably well although today I have not written out what I have eaten yet. I might just go over my 35 optional points by a hair today. Good thing tommorrow is the last day of my WW week.
The topic at the WW meeting was empowering and dis-empowering beliefs. The leader asked what I found to be the most challenging disempowering belief that I have, and I told her that "I think after 8 years of weight maintenance I should be able to just not count points anymore -and still keep from gaining weight" . It does vex me sometimes, particularly as people say - you're slim - why are you being careful, And that is EXACTLY the reason. With a maintenance daily point target at about 19 points per day I have to count every day or I quickly run into trouble.
Of course - I could really make a difference if I worked out as seriously as some of the folks do on this web site ( including my diet buddies) .
I will look to other posts for inspiration this week!

losing 0.9 lb a week

Stayed the same at weigh in today. I was wearing my jeans and a belt, so I am probably a bit lighter. In any case - the same is alwasy better than having the scale go up, particularly when I have had a challenging week. I am pretty sure that I ate less than my points target plus the 35 points, and the leader does keep saying that I should really make sure that I eat more to keep my metabolism going. So - I guess that is what I should do for the week! I did have a lot of times this last week when I really wanted to eat more - so perhaps that was a message as well!
I think I'll just make sure that I get all of my dairy, protein and healthy fats no matter what!
Hope all of my diet buddies are doing okay out there!

Feeling a bit un-inspired weight-watching wise today. Which isn't that good. Perhaps I am not eating enough of the right foods. I think I need to add more protein or something - to keep feeling full.
I made a goal yesterday to make sure that I drink enough water, and eat my veggies. I have been having a heck of a time with the water... and yet I seem to be spending a lot of time running to the washroom. Maybe I am shedding that "waterweight" that people keep talking about!
My two sisters just lost 40 pounds each (they have been on doctor supervised diets because of plood pressure) so that should inspire me. THey have both been able to go off blood pressure medication and are feeling very spry.

I was pleased to finally see a chnage in the scale at my last weigh in. Beacuse I am a life time member, and now balow my WW Goal Weight, me meetings are now free again. Yeah.
It am feeling that the 18 Point daily target that I have now is a stretch for me. I will have to focus hard on making lots of Fruit and Veg choices to make it seem like more.
