losing 1.0 lb a week

I am not doing as great as I have done in the past. I have not instituted the same discipline, either as regards daily activity or in respect to meticulous journaling. Also, I am beginning to wonder about my scale, as one day I appear to have gained 2 lbs., and the next day to have lost the same 2 lbs., without being violently ill or significantly changing my intake or activity. This is crazy-making (not a word, but it expresses my meaning).
Same with the water--I am definitely getting better about drinking it, but I need to find a good way to remind myself. I have no objection to drinking water, don't need to add any flavorings, etc. (and I actually prefer the taste of plain water), but it just doesn't always seem worth the trouble to interrupt what I'm doing to get up for it. But that is another habit I have to break, so I think there is no help for it, really. Just. Do. It. Anyway.
Saturday was a deliberate day off anyway, and yesterday was a not-really-intentional-but-I-didn't-give-a-flying-fling day off. But I wasn't totally ridiculous about it. Will be taking off 18th Oct., but will try to toe the line until then.
It's a new week, and a new opportunity. We can so totally do this. Good luck to me, and all my fellow travelers!

gaining 2.1 lb a week

I am doing (compared to my former performance, at least) remarkably poorly at being faithful to my diet and exercise journals. However, I have been trying to eat as though I were writing down 100%. Sometimes I don't want to take a break from what I am doing to write things down, do the caloric calculations, etc. But I know how important it is, so I need to fully commit to that again. That's what the "Journaling" challenge is all about. I may set it up again as it finishes this time, if that is what it takes to keep my momentum going. I can totally do this, but half-measures don't really do it for me.
I am a little concerned that I don't seem to be losing weight, even though I know I have cut back on my calories considerably, and am trying to be more active again. However, I'm trying not to let it make me too crazy. Some of it has to do with water weight and monthly timing, etc. It's over weeks and months that I need to see the trend, and as long as I go down overall, it doesn't matter if every weigh-in is perfectly accurate (even if it does make me a little crazy).
Thanks for "listening". Good luck to all of us this week!

losing 0.2 lb a week

This week was a bit of a diet bust. Part of it was because I was not recording properly (as I am supposed to, per my own challenge!), but part of it was somewhat inevitable, as I was traveling to a celebration where just eating salad really wasn't going to cut it. But it's a new week, and a new opportunity. Good luck to me, and to all of us this week!
