Who knew a toddler could restrict your caloric intake so much. As I tried to eat my Vegan Burger for lunch, the cutest cherub-faced blonde boy toddled up to me and said "Boooorgrah mommy" and I gave in. I logged the whole burger, but I shared most of it with him. Maybe I should just pack him around everywhere I go: weight lifting combined with reduced food portions.

Dinner last night was amazing. I can't even remember the last time I ate pasta. This was whole grain pasta with mushrooms, garlic, green peppers and onion under marinara. It wasn't 100% vegan as Great Value Traditional Spaghetti Sauce does have some cheese in it, but I didn't have time to commit to a made from scratch marinara. So, I suppose this should count as a slip up. But, it still qualified as a Meatless Monday.
Outside of dinner, I am sore from head to toe. I have a sore throat and every muscle in my body feels like it has been put through the ringer. I was a little relieved that it was storming last night after work as I needed a break from my run. The baby was up from 1am to 3am last night as he isn't feeling too hot either. This morning I skipped my elliptical session to give my aching bones and muscles a short break. Also skipped breakfast inadvertently. I'm not sure what I am going to choose for lunch. Ideally I need to work more on meal planning. The fridge is pretty full though so I have a ton of suitable vegan/vegetarian options.

I'm down 1.2 from last week. Not too impressive, but at least it is in the right direction. TOM is almost here and I expect that is causing for some extra water retention. I felt a bit depressed last week and did not keep my focus as well as I could have. So, I'm going to ramp things up this week. I'm going to increase my exercise this week. I started off this morning with a 5 am kettle bell class and followed that with 45 min on the elliptical. If there isn't a storm tonight, I'm also going to shoot for a quick three mile run.
